This is pretty interesting, like healing, only creepy. Is there a name for this kind of genre?

This manga has a lovely mysterious feeling that I really enjoyed. I could picture it as a Studio Ghibli film.

Oh manga-sama please let a publisher pick this up!! I need this on my shelf now, fuck I'll buy two!

Shame there was one. The last page is a portrait of that... A warm beautiful fantasy image being erased for a mundane explanation.

I saw the last few pages as the reverse:

Very nicely done short story.  I think the author did a great job, and so did Lovely Strange Dark.  A very enjoyable read.

And here I was thinking there was a mundane explanation for all of this.

What a manga....
Thank you for scanlating this, Lovely Strange Dark.

Omg, do my eyes deceive me!?

Quite agree with the sentiment, but spoilers, old bean!

The mystery intensifies! Thanks for the new chapter!

And here I was thinking there was a mundane explanation for all of this.

Just started reading, and I'm really hooked.  The art reminds me of Kodama Yuki (the feeling of it, not the style), and it and the story really drew me in, way more so than the cookie-cutter, fan service type stuff.  I'm definitely into this manga for the long haul.

maybe the mermaids are the people who lost their lives out at sea? so the merman who saved toki is narumi's brother?

also, is toki and her dad living with her mom's mom? why?

Wait, wait!  What's in the tunnelllll????

It'll come back to haunt us later, I'm sure. Chekov's gun etc. etc.

Odds of it being coincidence that Narumi and Tokiko woke up at exactly the same time?  Odds of that dream being meaningless?  This is such a slowly unraveling story that its almost torture.

Just read this, the art is so pretty and the story is kinda heart warming. But I have a feeling that the mermaid toki saw was narumi's brother saving her, maybe he wore blue trousers, and he got washed up and gone missing because of that. Maybe. But this story is kinda relaxing, maybe i should just be patient and wait

why many beautiful artwork had to be josei... why??/

Why is that a problem? Lately in the few past years josei brings not only interesting artwork but also more interesting stories compared to other genres. Of course all depends on tastes.

I'm really into this.

Spoiler

That's what I think, but this chapter has entered new questions with the elders speak. Let's see.

Wait, wait!  What's in the tunnelllll????

This is quite interesting.  Understated, almost distant-feeling especially at first, and yet it draws you in.  Good art.

I'm really into this.
Spoiler

It's soft and nice reading. I really like the art, (and good choice for the font, LSD).

Good stuff, a nice and comfy read.

the thing i think that's most striking to me is how quiet this narrative is. It's not silent by any means, but it reflects the subject matter very well.

God dang this is beautiful.
