I smell of library paste!!! But I'm 44 so I'm too old for Linus. ... ... ...

I'm pretty sure that Linus is older than you...

...To quote a well-known figure in the world of western comics:

Linus Van Pelt:  "Looks aren't everything, Charlie Brown.  I fall in love with any girl that smells like library paste." [snip]

44...

Just realized I am now the same age as the name of the band my ex-boyfling who was a drummer was in. Hah!

And I really like the series, but it does remind me of some wonderfully terrible blushtimes of mine own. I probably should save the chapters up and go through them at one time so I can focus on the mysteries more than the cliffhanging blushtimes. If you feel things deeply as I do, that's my recommendation.

well, she's pretty so I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

He has fallen for her completely now.     That book trader dude is an interesting character.

These chapters are starting to remind me of Hyouka.

That's very true, Linus!  But what if the girl had the looks AND smelled of library paste!?  XD

nice, thx for the update!

The old lady is the thief? calling it

nice!!

plot twist. the lady is a thief. xD

I'm really liking this.  Followed, by Jove!

I like the main character.  There's a certain honesty and mental strength about him--like the way he keeps on liking books in the abstract even though he has a problem reading them.  It's easy to like things that come easily to you, and easy to devalue things that don't just to make you feel better.  He faces things.

As to the cliffhanger--I'm assuming he saves the day, but what I'm really wondering is:  What if the old lady was shoplifting?  Maybe after he saves the old lady she'll feel bad and actually buy the book she was looking for.

From her overall body language and demeanour it definitely look like she shoplifted a book. She keeps her items close to herself, her arms are the same.

But that man has issues, she just slightly bumped into him.

I mean japanese people are usually polite, especially older people. Not only that but they are in quite a rural part of the country, people tend to me even more friendlier and not cause conflict.

I'm wondering what's gonna be up with that cliffhanger.   Anyway, he is completely smitten isn't he?   I like the main pair.    Grandma must have been one of those people who bullies the ones she loves.  lol

Obviously, the lady came in for a book, and was leaving with one >_>
