Great read. I enjoyed both the manga and anime, even if they are different from each other near the end.

I really like how the story progressed, how the characters developed, how the plot mechanics worked (the whole rerun/revival thing wasn't overused, which was great) and even if [antagonist] name was an asshole; I really liked how realistic and well done he was laid down as a character.

I loved all the characters in this manga. You could tell they were different characters from each other and they were all interesting to see as you followed Satoru's point of view. It's great that the mangaka didn't overvalue one gender over another like a lot of storytellers/mangaka/artists do.

AND YOU KNOW WHO I REALLY LOVE??? SATORU'S MOM. She's the best character in my books. (Though Kenya and Satoru were also Really Great.)

Do recommend. Best anime of the current season in my opinion.
Am excited for the new manga that is coming up too.

>great observation
>got me agreeing
>suddenly inserts "overvaluation of one gender" tripe

What were you trying to say? That manga should have equality of the sexes (which is a post-modern western concept) as part of their message? What are examples of authors over valuing one sex over the other, according to you?

I heard there was going to be a new manga, a side story or something. Can't remember where I saw it, maybe it was while watching anime?

Cover 08!! END :/

I've already spoke on particular chapters but I wanted to note for future generations (lol) that this manga is absolutely spectacular. A relatively straightforward narrative expertly, deftly, thoughtfully, artfully told. Such as it is that the reader accepts a baffling premise (the resets) without explanation. I certainly never bothered to wonder why; it's simply that good. What inspired me to revisit this is that the anime is actually, equally as good; I think that is profoundly rare. They each are impressive in their respective mediums and are worth experiencing in both. Just an awesome, awesome narrative.

Well the anime wrapped up very good everything. And it kind of relates with the manga.

Spoiler

I think that both adaptations should be read and joined as together, both are to be seen as one.

so the anime expands the ending a bit?

it was so vague lol, had to make so many guesses and assumptions for shit to make sense

still dont understand why Airi remembers him

I feel people are getting too wrapped up in the romantic relationships. Yes it was an element but the whole point of the resets was to right the wrongs and save those close to Satoru. Not insure he gets his own "happy ending." Also what happens during his final confrontation as a kid ultimately serves to help him develop as a person even more so I also disagree that there should have been a "rerun" to remove that element.  Most importantly this was a good place to stop the manga since all the loose threads are tied up, rather then artificially extending the life of the manga just to change a personal elemental some might find unsatisfying.

Though in a sense He does get his own happy ending by fulfilling the doubts and failures of his past, but I consider that as the reward for his efforts other then the main goal.

thats what many ppl do in almost every freaking manga even if its not a romance one, people get obsessed with their 'ships' or whatnot

kinda annoying

at last i read them all (first one mostly skip though)

what i can say it is really happy ending and more better than in anime and im crying again

can we have after story.....

Oh fuck this is interesting as hell

glad i found this gem

Masterpiece !!!

The adult red card can be a trick for people to read this one but it's really a great story without blanks and rushs.

I really like this mangaka

Maybe there should be the options for moderators to specify why a certain manga is mature starting with the most popular ones

Definitely one of my favourites now.

What a thrill, from the beggining up until the very end.

This is a seriously good read, even the harsh bits.

That was crazy...
One on the best manga I've read so far.

It's finally over... I've been a big fan of this author, ever since Hoozuki no Shima; even when his stories are more of a miss than a hit, the man can pull off some good characters and serious tension, even when you already have a feeling as to how it might end...

Glad to see his best comic yet come to a satisfying close. Here's to a future series that's just as good!

I'll admit I liked the execution of everything except for his relationship with ari, that felt a little shoehorned at the end. Mainly because I'm still butthurt he didn't end up with aya, way too many cute moments of them together to not end up with her, total tease. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, it was a good ride. Can't wait for his next one, I'm hoping he'll go back to a psychological horror mystery like cradle of monsters and hoozoki no shima (hoozoki no shima is still my favorite of his, fantastic mystery, really engaging)

I'm up for this as well..

Though 15 years is plenty of time to be chopping heads,

I'd say the MC was way too content with the situation for all the sh*t he's been put through.. He's like the buddha -getting buried alive as a sacrifice for just a couple people to be happy instead..

Me not like

You seem to have forgotten that those were older, cold cases they were looking at.

Spoiler

Without being able to go back even further than 1988, there really isn't anything that can be done about your example, so Satoru really has no reason to be dissatisfied in the outcome of everything he's been through

Well 11th episode was a totally change:

Well last episode is next week...

Beautiful ending!

Hope his next manga will have plot twist like Hoozuki no Shima.

Rather  than 'too content' I'd say after he recovered all his memories, he's like "this timeline is far more better than those all sh*t when I was caught by police for a murder I didn't do, also mother and airi is alive and kayo and friends were all happy and all."

Dude, he got an anime adaptation for his manga.

I'm up for this as well..

He's not god. He can't save everyone. He did what he could.

Spoiler

Disagree about the ship. It was great ending, but I was still hoping for another reset to essentially "set things right" if you will and have him end up with Kayo whom he just seemed to have better chemistry with. The thing with Airi just doesn't fit now since he has no reason to know her or her him so there's Fridge Logic/Plot Hole there.

I'm up for this as well..

Loved the ending, as well as its last message. The future is always blank. It's up to you to make something out of it.

Also, I always loved Airi so this ending was especially pleasing. She was the person who taught him how to trust, others and himself. She was always there when he needed help. She didn't have to, no one asked her to, but she did so anyway. Satoru might have been a hero for a lot of people, but for Satoru, Airi was a hero.

So what happens from here on? Well, the one thing I'm sure of is that Satoru won't let this chance go to waste.

I completely, absolutely loved this. Cool protagonist and character development. My favourite  was the doctor that couldn't admit he liked the food though.
