Night Eye's power is pretty interesting, in that it is only OP because he's so meticulous in his planning. I mean, sure, it is absolute foresight for an hour, but it requires he make eye contact and physical contact at the same time. In a combat scenario that can be difficult to do. It also relies on his sense of timing, spacial awareness, and agility to be effective. He has to react properly, at the right time, and in the right way to make good use of his foreknowledge. And that still doesn't stop a second person from catching him by surprise, as his foresight only extends to the actions of the people he's using it on.

One big question i still have about Night Eye's quirk:

Can it be used on multiple person simultaneously?

-snip-

Don't worry, i just expressing my hate on the example Dredcor presents back there, about how in One Piece there's a guy who supposedly have foresight as his ability that were defeated by attack of coincidence. That's some shitty-quality foresight. But in a way it could be a fridge, as maybe he's relying too much on the foresight he forgot to actually also "foresight" his surrounding, and instead too focused on the enemy alone.

In fairness, a foresight that actually really just "knowing" your opponent's intent is less correct to be called foresight but more of mind-reading.

I'm sorry but i hate foresight power that can be countered by the power of coincidence and surprise, cuz i believe that the very functionality of foresight is exactly to eliminate any elements of surprise.

I understand that hate, but it's the more plaussible, you see the idea of the future, not the real future. Some foresights are countered by the enemy reacting faster than you or missing what they wanted to do and for me at least, are a real kind of foresight power (you see intention, not facts).

That said, a real foresight see facts, but in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles explain that knowing the future ahead means that taking a different path changes the WHOLE future (more or less), making your power your ability to try something different instead of knowing how to get what you want.

And as such, a power that foresights events from ONLY ONE PERSON is flawed, because any other person is outside of your range, an any different "enemy" could aproach you outside of your visions.

My only real bet at foresight is something similar to Laplace idea: "If you know every single detail about the present you can estimate the future ahead", in that case, as more far away in the future, the easier your information gets outdated and the easier your estimation miss. For me, that's the only non-fantasy foreseeing, the other ones look more like magic to me (a wizard did it); but maybe with quantum machines, this could change.

2 Theory obviously, your first theory is flawed by default, what if for arguments sake lets say Nighteye foresight tells him Deku is gonna punch him in the face and follow up with a kick in the belly but Nighteye dodges the punch now that he knows it and as such any and all actions Deku would take change. It would be utterly pointless to just know the future off someone for the next hour since any direct action Nighteye takes would chance the future rendering it useless. The fact you can predict something is gonna happen does not make you invencible though, dosent matter if you know a punch is coming if you cant react fast enough to dodge it.

That's pretty much why i said that the first theory is a very unlikely possibility, but in essence it is not really that flawed nor useless.

What if, with theory no 1, that the very fact Sir have foresight is already calculated in that one hour advance vision he got? Yes, we are talking about some deep-level fore-ception here.

So like, Sir got vision of

[...Deku doing frontal attack, but it was a very convincing trick and he proceed to do a crouching attack...].

Without foresight, let's assume it's impossible to avoid that crouching attack in time, BUT.... this is the continuation of the vision:

[...proceed to do a crouching attack, but it miss, as Sir had already jumped out of the way...]

But of course, i still do prefer if it's Theory 2. And yeah, i agree with how knowing everything that's about to happen in advance doesn't really mean you can always do something about it. :)

Lol :D, but he could foresaw that and either:

1. Close his eyes.

2. Evades.

3. Prevent the opponent from reaching the sand in the first place.

4. Eliminate the sand.

5. Water Attack.

There are still uncertainties about Night Eye's quirk tho.

In your opinion, what is the most correct about his quirk? Spoiler for length.

Spoiler

With those two possibilities above in mind, one way to attack through Sir's quirk is to use attacks that are UNAVOIDABLE, or at least, are very hard for Sir to avoid in the first place.

Is his plan literally hit him harder...

Taking a whole chapter from Goku's book there bud.

It's not hit him harder, but attack him FASTER.  He's trying to be fast enough that even if Night Eye knows what he is going to do, that he can't react.

that one part from One Piece, where Luffy just hit a wall randomly and his fists bounced off of the wall and attacked Enriu or whatever his name was.

He couldnt predict Luffy's moves because Luffy was unaware of where his fists were going.

Man, Nighteye is the kind of employer that should make anyone go "thanks but no thanks".

If All Might and Sir had a falling out only because of the topic of One for All's successor, does that mean Sir had an active role in the battle six years back where Sensei crippled All Might?

Well, what else could work with opponent who have foresight!? :P

Just a reminder that Inko Midoriya is best girl.

Anyone who needed to be reminded of this is a lost cause.

What about all the All Might memorabilia!

Sand attack?

hqdefault.jpg

Pocket sand!

Well, what else could work with opponent who have foresight!? :P

...

based on other manga cliche ...

1. Anticipate foresight movement multiple times ...

(like certain manga someone reincarnated died by Truck)

2. Attack rapidly and absurdly by rage thus can't get predicted

(happen in Nurarihyon mo Mago)

3. If it majorly based in sight,

(then several Neruto trick when he fight Pain might be used ?)

smoke, and they talking about vinegar ? maybe it's on purpose how it will be hint for Deku to know foresight "condition" ? << Manga cliche ...

Sand attack?

RIP poster

Another subtle detail that makes Deku interesting to me.

If you notice, this "Vinegar Incident", doesn't involve any villain, it simply about Allmight doing RESCUE, and it's one of Midoriya's favourite story of Allmight, even though it was one of the most overlooked Allmight's story among society because it's uninteresting. Look back at Deku's childhood, the video he never bored to watch is a video of Allmight's debut where he RESCUEs hundreds of people.

Contrast to Bakugou who's favourite clip of Allmight is when he battles hard fights and wins, this show just how pure of a hero Midoriya is really.

Is his plan literally hit him harder...

Deku's definitely channeling Gran Torino here. Characterization wise this is quite a step up for Deku as I believe this is the first time he seems to be motivated for the sake of his ego. Taking a step back Night Eye's concerns are understandable because on paper Deku is rather unremarkable as a potential successor to All Might, at least strength wise. Hell even back in the sports festival arc Deku shared similar concerns on why he was chosen. But since then he has fought, bled, mutilated his arms and nearly died several times for the sake of becoming a person worthy of All Might's legacy. Thus there is no way after all he's been through he is going to take Night Eye's denouncement of him and All Might's choice lying down.

This picture is a good indication of knowing your Shounen Jump or not...  I only can name a handful of these girls myself.

Can anyone name them all + manga?

for now the mangas (next edit I would name the characters)
front left to right
black clover
one piece
gintama
isobee isobee monogatari (doll)
haikyuu!

middle left to right
boruto
sammon the summoner
seishun heiki no.1
ibitsu no amalgam
yuragi-sou no yuuna
shokugeki no soma

saiki kusuo no psi-nan

back left to right
demon's plan
the promised neverland
sesuji wo pin
ole golazo
hinomaru zumou
boku no hero - uraraka

Same here lol, :D But to be fair tho:

1. In a world where Heroes' official costumes is made by costume departments, it won't be strange to find some similarities in design, especially if the costumes are made by the same department.
2. Personally i think both design are inspired by Megaman franchise, particulary the legs, and the fact that her hero-name is BUBBLE GIRL doesn't help.
3. Ochako didn't patented her suit yet anyway. :P
4. Both char still has their own unique characteristics.
5. They may looks same due to the monochromatic colors, but later in the anime when everything is colored, i'm sure both char will shine uniquely at their own.
6. Bubble Girl's design is a fan's creation, i will not surprised if it's intentional or at least indeed take inspiration from Ochako's design.

Also, considering that Bubble Girl is a professional sidekick of a famous hero, it's possible to have the in-universe explanation that it's actually Uraraka's costume that looks like Bubble's, not unlike Deku's resembles All Might's.

Valentine's Uraraka is pretty good, flying all embarrased

img000001.jpg also, is the silver haired girl in the back the one from Demon's plan??
