The problem is really that it was given to Deku too early. Yes, Deku did muscle training before inheriting OFA, but all that did was make him physically fit. It brought him up to the bare minimum level to be able to use the quirk without exploding.

Unfortunately Deku (and to a somewhat lesser extent All Might) was on a deadline. He needed a quirk to be able to get into Yuuei, so he didn't have the opportunity to further improve his body or gain... well, any understanding of how to actually use the damn power.

Compare him to Mirio, for example, who was also a candidate for OFA - he'd trained for much longer and had a much stronger physique as well as experience in controlling a tricky quirk. I wager he would have been able to adapt to OFA much more easily.

Not to mention that All Might kinda sucked balls at teaching Deku how to do stuff.

how the F did he reconstruct himself if he was dissasembled a second before?

does overhaul power of  deconstruct and reconstruct apply at the same time?

No chapter this week, Hori is sick again.

...

I wonder what kind of Deku's feeling when someone actually can instantly become really good in using One for All power ...

I didn't say "instantly"... I have no idea how long it would have taken Mirio to adapt to OFA, just that I think it would have been much faster.

Knowing him, Deku would probably nerd out and takes notes on his Hero Analysis Book while doing his signature mumbling. :P

Aww, snap. NOW it's on.

Overhaul makes for a great villian. Can't we have HIM as the leader of the villian alliance?

BLACKED. Now that that's out of the way, I'm sure we can all agree that LockRock's best Team Dad.

I have some concerns with for the future of one for all. The power increases over time, and it seems that it'll take years for Deku to really master his power, after some close calls. Will it even be safe for the next person to train or will they break themselves before completing it? I could see them intentionally not passing it on, for fear of hurting somebody for no good end. Perhaps they'll need to find users with synergistic works.

Maybe there's a whole "diminishing returns" thing regarding how much strength One For All will actually absorb.

Or eventually One For All will reach its level cap. :P

Personally though, i like to believe that One For All can also strengthen its wielder so that they will eventually able to harness 100% of it. Basically, if One For All is some kind of OP weapon that have stat requirements in order to use it safely, then it will also grant bonus EXP to the wielder so they have chance to actually fulfill the stat requirements eventually.

It would simply be harder and harder to adapt especially if you haven't tried muscle training like deku before receiving the quirk.

Eventually, is gonna reach a stage where no matter how strong and fit you're, using it will damage your body.

Let's just assume the body will adapt to the quirk just like any other quirk in the series. (their is a reason why endeavor can't have 4th degree burns on his face.)

Some folks are thinking that Deku may be tempted to try to give Mirio One For All, but I don't think it's as likely a consideration as others apparently do. There's no telling how Eri's quirk works; perhaps it suppresses each and every quirk the user has forever, whether they had it at that time or not. I think the risk is too great for risking One For All, and Deku is smart, so I hope he wouldn't be tempted.

Such an intention might be what forces All Might to finally tell Deku what the deal is with One For All.

Fantastic shounen chapter; this manga hasn't delivered a lot of those of late.

Mirio, Deku, Bakugou, Todoroki, Stain being heroes (or antiheroes) has always made the best chapters rather the exposition in between.

You forget Suneater, dude.

*Tamaki monologue: Well it's not like I deserve to be remembered anyway* T^T

I'd hate if that bullet had no consequence at all.

It's something you see in pretty much every shonen manga, like when someone has caught an incurable disease and gets cured anyway.

I mean, the whole point of throwing hopeless situations is to create tension and suspense, but as soon as you revert those situations, you reduce the whole tension and suspense ad absurdum. From that point on, no matter what kind of hopeless situations you bring, there will be no tension or suspense, because we know the situation is not in fact hopeless.

It's why All Might's retirement was good. For once, the superhero that was supposed to retire actually did retire. If the Capo says Mirio will be quirkless, he will be quirkless. The suspense is real, and it's not going anywhere.

I really feel sorry for Mirio, but that's no excuse for dragging this excellent manga through the dirt.

And who knows? Maybe Mirio will be able to stay a hero, despite losing his Quirk?

...

this what I mean, if he still able to be hero regardless WITHOUT quirk, that makes him even cooler than MC ...

(or get One for All from All might or Deku ... I think that ability can be shared to quirkless)

Did Deku just headbutt the wall open?? I mean, I know his hands are crap now, but that's not usually how he uses his head... He's been spending too much time with Kirishima.

This is some bullshit, you can't nerf him like this!!!

HERE COMES THE COAL TRAIN!!!!!

Last chapter:

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Ok. I completely understand the whole point of covering the girl and be hit with that bullet, because it's supposed to be heroic sacrifice and all.
But at the same time I immidiately had 2 thoughts:
1) Looks like bullet itself doesn't do much/any harm, it just removes quirk. If Mirio had actually let Eri be hit by it, she would either lose her quirk and become totally useless for Chisaki, or wouldn't lose quirk (because the bullet's made from her or something) and only gets stung a little. And that's all.
2) If we go the "protect Eri from being shot" route after all, then how about this. Mirio's quirk doesn't let him unphase his body inside something - he would be pushed out immidiately, right? But that works in both ways - I mean "Mirio's part inside something" = "part of somthing inside Mirio". What I'm trying to say - if Mirio let the bullet enter his body and remove phasing before it goes out, bullet won't hit his internals, but instead will be pushed out. Of coure this sounds kinda impossible, but it's shounen - impossible is possible, when the hero gives his all.
But he has chosen to lose his only advantage and fight two very dangerous opponents barehanded, what eventually sooner or later leads to him being defeated and Eri being caught again.

Mirio doesnt even know it was the quirk-destroying bullet. For all he know Eri will be shot dead.

Plus he need to be The Flash to deflect the bullet inside his body

That's a subjective matter.

For me, the emotional chapters are the best ones, with Strategical Deku chapters just behind. :)
