Description: Takagi and Kanemura are two normal high school students in a near-future Japan where many things are different but taken in stride. Technology has evolved to the point where items like face-blurring necklaces, sleep-control devices, and Willy Wonkaish meal-flavored gum are treated as fads. New services also dot the landscape, such as businesses that can help you reclaim memories and places that can upload dead people to the internet to continue living their lives in virtual reality. The two girls also treat encounters with androids, strange monsters, and aliens as somewhat normal occurences. Dainana Joshikai Houkou is a fantastical slice of futuristic life that proves that while society can change, people seem to stay the same.

Kane-yan's image of a Ricegrainian is super cute ^-^

What if the dead soul in 'Heaven' is actually just a bunch of data copied from memories and act according the data like AI [...]

I mean ... that IS what's being shown here, isn't it?

As for the earlier discussion about death becoming meaningless, it wouldn't really be, would it? After all, this way death is merely delayed, not conquered. At the very least death would take place once the universe itself winds down (if it didn't already do so the moment a person really died and got digitized).

What if the dead soul in 'Heaven' is actually just a bunch of data copied from memories and act according the data like AI and the real person's soul is literary gone.

Spoiler

How dare this chapter to go so far and yet not reveal that person's face, aghhhh xD Now it'll bother me foreverrrr...

W-what's with the juxtaposed heavy atmosphere? It's making it feel like something real bad's about to happen.

Ghost-chan, pls.

It doesn't hurt that that happens in most stories that revolve around it. Remember, en masse the stories we read/watch shape our expectations pretty drastically (It's pretty widely believed that romance fiction has screwed up our expectations for relationships, for instance).

However there are some very real things to be concerned about. The impact on our sociopolitical structures would be enormous, and difficult to predict.

Spoiler

If/when we figure out how to obtain effective immortality (and it's quite conceivable that that could happen this century), it's going to be at least as disruptive as the industrial revolution. But then as now, it's pretty hard to do a cost-benefit analysis beforehand, and we'll probably be debating whether it was worth it for quite some time afterwards.

Well, it does help that most of the dead seem to stay within the virtual world.

Plus, can't they get deleted?

Maybe it's just me, but making death totally meaningless is a pretty spooky concept. I just feel that something will go very wrong and very quickly at some point, if it ever becomes reality.

They kinda remind me of Chio-chan and Manana.

Oh, thank god it's back.

Thanks Osakaki!

finally my favorite normal slice of life manga has returned.

Can someone please pick this up again?

I plan on continuing it soon.

Can someone please pick this up again?

This is amazing.

Every time I see the title on the updates, I always think, "What was this about again?".
And every time on the first page, I instantly remember why.

Again! what's with that ending... There will be second part, right?

btw kane-yan doesn't look as good with short hair

Did anyone else think of this when they saw the title "Black and Yellow"...?

My reaction to each and every chapter:

"Everything is suspiciously normal -> ...okaaaaayyy... -> wut -> wtf...! - ...she just ignored it!? -> I got it I guess but still, maybe not."

what the hell is that thing?!

Every chapter have mysteries, and was solved at the end, but not this chapter 24!

Spoiler
