¡Estupendo!

Hikari is quite annoying. Her repeated kicks were not funny the first time, nor the 50th.

In another note, my bet is that Kyoko won't "attack" anyone even without the ribbon, just Kenji. She's sush a brocon.

Gracias por el episodio 19.

I want to lick Kyoko....

delete me.

Misread what I quoted before posting.

True enough. Those gap moe which they're hallucinating is probably what causes their drive to like these kind of stuff.

goddammit Japan and your love for bipolars

...just gonna leave this here...

Spoiler
Cant tell who is more dense... the MC or his crush.
Kyoko's inner thoughts:«Stay away from my brother you glasses wearing slut!»

Next chapter!

She wouldn't be the reason why it's axed. The reason the character archetype appears like everywhere in romcoms is probably because Japanese people think it's funny. It's like how westerners are often annoyed by a mascot character when the Japnese love them. We are reading stuff from a different culture, there are bound to be differences in values

Bro-con is real!!!

Bitch or not, justified or not (and by this point she's really not), there isn't really a character archetype as annoying as the "oh my god you aggravated me in some manner so I'm going to comedically drop kick your face" girl, especially when it's abused as much as it is in japanese media and taking up such a large part of this manga in particular.

If this really did get axed, I can see Hikari being a major reason why.

Just to be sure we're on the same page here, the comment you replied to was in reply to one commenting on the hikari ship not the hibino ship...

Yeah.  Though 'twas more inspired by than direct reply; it could potentially apply to either.

[In his best David Attenborough voice]: "And here we see the joshi-kosei exhibiting the signs of estrus when around her intended mate. However, the male is more concerned with maintaining the pack structure and does not overtly react to the courtship, although as we have observed previously, there are signs that he also intends to approach her as a potential mate."

The winds art favorable today.

I only started reading this today and Hikari is not as annoying as the comments make it seem. The trope of kicking the MC is overdone though.

People are just being bitchy cause they are tired of abusive female characters in other stories, so they project their hatred of those charactes unto Hikari, because she shares a slight similarity with those characters.

But that's idiotic, it's the same as being slighted by a single person, but to blow your top at everyone else, thinking that they too were guilty of that.

How very pop-Nietzschian of you. Please go review your definition of "sin", because this kind of chuunibyou statement could be classified by some as "utterly stupid", too — but even if they did, that is no reason to advocate your or anyone else's death.

Looks like I was really right about condemning everyone. Stupidity is contageous...

Spoiler

If Hikari is the reason, this proves that humanity is indeed a lost cause and all humans deserve to perish. For there is no greater sin than utter stupidity

Oh the melodrama... shall I give you a live journal to complain to? How about we go to Hot Topic and discuss the different shades of black? But no seriously, Hikari is a somewhat annoying trope that has been outplayed. No one likes the karma Houdini who basically gets to act like a pain and get away with it. Especially if it comes with abject violence towards an undeserving main character. It's one thing if it's a situation like in To-Love-Ru where the MC actually "does" something (regardless of fault) and gets smacked. But one character always being dense and seeing things in her own slanted view when she is flat out constantly being told by all parties involved that "IT'S NOT LIKE THAT" is extremely irritating. However, I will say they are beginning to change her into being a less annoying version of herself in the later chapters so that's alright. Characters can have growth and become beloved through said growth. In fact it's kinda a credit to the author if they can make you have feels for a character you used to loathe.

The ship...it's definitely looking more and more likely to set sail.

The winds art favorable today.
