Let me get this straight. Scanlators now use .moe or whatever domain so their audience can visit their website inorder to read accurate english translated, high-quality scanned manga and you guys make money out of it? Isn't that illegal нелегальный? Unless they have aquired the rights to scanlate mangas from the proper authorities, I won't question that. Is tsuba- whatever, the only one who bought the .moe domain? If so, after she died, who is the one taking over or benefitting now? Her close friends or her new admins? Are the members involved in working on the mangas get a share too? Конечно право? Is that why they are busy uploading past mangas to their new manga reader website? Is that why they are not recruiting? Correct me if I'm wrong and do enlighten me. I am new and want to get to the bottom of this. пожалуйста feel free to correct me english grammar, spellin' and correct use of punctuation marks too... I want to learn from senpai. пока

Scanlation groups don't make money off of scans that they translate to english. There is no profit in the form of money. It is pure volunteer work. We buy the raws, or they are donated, and then we scan them to translate. Once the manga becomes officially licensed for english translation and released we stop.

The .moe for SummerRain was purchased by a good friend of ours and a member of SR Staff. We were lucky that he had access to the website after Tsubaki passed, otherwise it would've been even more difficult for Chane, Hues, and I to take over and reorganize everything as admins.

The reason SummerRain is not recruiting at the moment is because we do not have and extreme need for staff at the moment. As we were reorganizing, Chane reached out to as many of the staff members as she could to get a good idea of our numbers.

Out new updates are old releases because we are currently trying to consolidate all of our projects onto our new reader we set up with our new website, because when our old website and reader went down we lost all of those projects and information.

We are planning on releasing a PSA post on our social media sometime on Friday the 20th. The post should answer most, if not all, of your questions and should further clarify any details pertaining to the incident with the series Haru Matsu Bokura.

If you have any more questions (or need any further clarification) Please don't hesitate to come and ask Hues, Chane, and/or I directly on any of our social media accounts.

Thank You!
Kyky

I don't even know where to start with this issue.

First of all, it looks like you're now taking the stance that 'scanlation is stealing from the author.' Why the fuck did you scanlate then?

Second, SR is working VERY hard reorganizing. You clearly didn't understand that they have lost access to EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA outlet that SR was on, it would have been even harder if Tsubaki had not purchased the new .moe domain before she passed away. Do you know how hard to was to even contact all the members through email to inform them of Tsuba's death? It's pretty obvious why they aren't recruiting. And even if they are, you wouldn't pass the test.

Third, if they're not recruiting, and they've stated they're still WORKING ON THE FuCKING MANGA. Why the hell would go ahead and release the chapter.

FINALLY. Do you speak English? Because it sounds like you don't. Have you read what you typed on to the new HMB chapter? Does it remotely sound right to you? Otakumole (aka Bubbler) is a fantastic source for reading manga. However you need to take into account that many of those translators have never, ever translated manga before and they're learning. Their work is not perfect and you should at least have the decency to make sure they don't sound like someone shitted out a bunch of words before you put them on a manga.

Bottom-line, if you're going to steal something. At least put effort.

As long as the balls don't touch.

Uhm, I agree with you... not.

The premise of your post is false. There will always be some group, somewhere, sometime that will pick up the series. Hence this release.

The group that releases quickest at acceptable quality will win. Most people are impatient and a majority don't even have the ability to fully appreciate diligent groups' efforts. Largely, audiences are from non-English speaking countries or they are children. In the end, they just want to read something they can read and understand.

Usually when projects are stolen it's because the original group was lagging or became MIA. I've seen many cases where the original group catches up to speed then antagonizing group drops the series. So instead of feeling sorry for yourselves and whining about losing motivation or commitment, why don't you channel that energy into improving your scan?

Senseless prattle brings no one closer to their goals, unless your goal is to become a professional whiner. In which chase, you have great potential.

Uhm, I agree with you... not.

The premise of your post is false. There will not always be a group somewhere that will pick up a series, there are plenty of dead series that have not seen releases in years. Let me know when every series gets revived by a group and I'll agree with you, sure. Funnily enough, you can't even use this series as an example for your premise because regardless of the recent release by another group, Summer Rain was working on it anyway so it was going to see a scanlated chapter eventually. "there will always be a group that works on the series no matter what" can't be applied here because a group was already working on the series. You've literally proven nothing. What I don't understand is that how come instead of picking up a series that is confirmed dead someone would pick up a series that is still being worked on? That's an inefficient use of effort and energy and wastes time and efforts of other groups.

Usually when a project is stolen it's because a group is lagging or becomes MIA, but we're not talking about that right now. We're talking about a group's project being taken over when its knowingly being worked on.  Are you saying Summer Rain, losing their only admin, are feeling sorry for themselves and need to improve their scan quality? You're not? Well then why did you even bring it up (???) I actually don't know what that entire paragraph has to do with our entire discussion because it is incredibly irrelevant. Did you even read my post? No one has a problem with groups taking over dead projects, this entire debate is about groups taking over projects with dedicated groups scanlating them.

Do you know how much speed scans kill the scanlation community? They greatly demotivate groups to work on popular projects and in general it just brings scanlation quality down, and I really do hate reading low quality scans, but if they're the only scans you kind of don't have a choice. In no world will quality scanlators be able to keep up with the pace of speedscanners, so your entire premise of "channel your energy into improving your scan" makes absolutely no sense. Do you think scanlators would want to produce high quality scans when people are going to praise speedscanners for slightly quicker releases? That is probably the most demotivating thing in the world and to say "just channel your energy into being faster and  better quality lololol!!1" is just plain absurd, hahahaha. You said it yourself people just want something they can read and understand and don't appreciate groups' efforts. You're actually supporting the notion of low quality scans in exchange for timely scans, and this is a notion that kills the scanlation community and lowers scanlation quality overall. I don't understand how you don't see that. To say this is a matter of feeling sorry for ones selves because a group wasn't racing to scanlate a project that only their group was working on because, you know, people have lives, is incredibly dehumanizing and insensitive.

This isn't senseless prattle, this is respecting people's effort and time. You don't do scanlation because it's your job and you're supposed to compete with other groups to scanlate projects, you do it because you have a passion for your series and want it to get seen by an audience.  You've literally dumbed the entire scanlation community down into groups of machines with no lives that are made only to compete with each other to make faster and better quality releases. By doing this you kill the passion of quality scan groups and further motivate speedscan groups. Do you understand why that kills the scanlation community? Because if you don't, frankly, I'm amazed, and you'd have to be rather closed-minded to not able to understand everything being said in these comments.

So... when's next chapter?

Case in point.

So... when's next chapter?

Before you even think about telling other groups to improve their scans, please double check yours.
your typeset isn't bad, but your proofread needs a lot of work, and your raws and cleans need attention

I have come to understand that you have been kindly asked not to publish a project another group has been working on, but you did so anyway. This is what I believe to be the main issue here.
What I'm getting from this:
1. You are an impatient fan.
2. You are inconsiderate.
3. You refuse to see things in ways that inconvenience you.

This is because all you seem to care about is getting the chapter out (at a barely acceptable quality, I might add. I can think of very few groups who would allow a release of this quality.) WITHOUT consideration for the group who originally had and was working hard on the project (that they put their own money and time into working on instead of impatiently slapping something together, so that others can actually enjoy what their reading) SummerRain, which you would know if you cared to look at any of their website and social media they run to communicate with readers, Has lost a very dear and close friend. I don't know about you, but If I had a friend whom had died suddenly, I wouldn't exactly be wanting to do a whole lot for a while. Not only was it a dear friend, It was their only admin. So, while the entire group is grieving and trying to pull everything together at the same time you sit here and think it's okay to steal a project of theirs because they didn't release quickly enough to appease your impatient ungrateful ass.

I'd like to say I'm sorry if I came off as mean or rude, but I'm not.
You are being incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and heartless, and quite frankly, I'm ashamed that we would be considered as a part of the same community.

Perhaps you know the saying about people who make assumptions.

1. You don't know who I am.

2. You don't know which groups I'm part of.

3. The majority of groups these days release with subpar quality.

4. I don't even read this series.

5. Steal? Many of us are pirates here.

Shall we start a your list is bigger than mine competition?

Yes, I agree that the group who lost a precious friend is the exception however, I was speaking in general. Did I mention any groups in my post? No. Assumptions.

If telling the truth is rude, then sorry, not sorry. I stand corrected. The majority of the audience (and now maybe one scanlator here) just don't have the ability to fully comprehend English text.

Take a seat. Take a moment. Calm down, think, before you let your emotions read & type.

I could report your post for flaming. Seems like someone didn't read the comments section guidelines, but checked the box anyway. What a great example you set. Someone who can't even follow the written rules talking about unwritten rules. Golden.

Good day to all! ^_^

It was I who uploaded the english update of this manga and with that I am truly sorry to those people who are upset (fans and staff of Summer Rain Scans). I would like to explain our side...

I've been a fan of this manga since last year so I wanted to join SRS. I decided I want to HELP out since I've noticed it was ONLY tsubaki working on the cleaning and typesetting all the SRS mangas (around june-august). So, I applied and even e-mailed tsubaki (the late admin) but didn't get a reply. Later, I found out the day after I emailed her, she passed away. (may she rest in peace) I would still offer my time and effort for FREE if that's what it takes to help the group. (so yeah, I just wanted to help)...
I asked the new admin of the group if they accept new members they said no and I waited for them to start updating. I thought they were doing well, but the once they updated to their new site were actually their previous work. So...
Luckily, I found a friend who has the raws of the manga and decided to work with her. Then, I emailed our work to SRS hoping for a collaboration but admin hues rejected our work.
That's ok we were already prepared for that.
I am stealing their project??? (but I informed them though) and besides, aren't all scanlation group doing it? For not getting permission from the REAL owner of the manga...? I am supporting the author (i ameven a fan myself) but I can't understand japanese so I'm relying on the eng translations found on the internet.

Also, GOOD NEWS to all!
Kodansha Comics USA will be releasing the ENGLISH version of HARU MATSU BOKURA some time this year! So if you want THE VERY BEST QUALITY, you better BUY the OFFICIAL one because I definitely would! Once the official english manga will be released, we will stop scanlating this or if SRS will be updating the next one very soon...

Once again, I am very sorry for this mess, for our poor work in the scanlation (btw we are not professionals just fans who loves this manga), to those people who got offended/insulted (twasn't our intention) and to my friend JF. I am taking this manga down now here in batoto as you wish, but we will be uploading it somewhere else for those impatient fans like us who doesn't have access to the raws. ^^

Peace be with you all :)

P.S. LOL i dont know how to take it down...
please just report the manga and it will be gone i think?
I will BAN myself from visiting this site and SRS tumblr from now on.
If you don't like our work and even find it some place else, then don't read it.

You are being incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and heartless, and quite frankly, I'm ashamed that we would be considered as a part of the same community.

It's this kind of attitude that affects the scanlation scene in a subtle but large sense; if groups take over projects that are currently being worked on by other groups, more groups will be less motivated to scanlate series because they'll think their effort is a waste of time if people are willing to take projects over without politely asking. Yeah, it may not matter this very instant right now to you, but what happens is a group takes over a project, scans it, then drops it because of circumstances, then no one is left to scanlate the project when previously there was one dedicated group. Or one person in a group decides to stop working because the projects they translate get held up in the scanlation pipeline and then someone else releases the chapter and suddenly all their translation work goes to waste. Suddenly the entire scanlation community has lost a valuable asset because people aren't willing to collaborate. And that's just a small look into the problem. In the grand scheme of things, if everyone takes over each other's projects no individual is going to want to actually work and commit to anything, there's a reason this courtesy exists to not take other people's projects unless they're declared dropped or they ask.

Then you'll have no manga to read, because it won't come from anyone, because no one will want to work on anything. That's why it matters. By supporting this you're indirectly killing the scanlation scene. Yeah, you're not doing it single handedly, but having this attitude of apathy and disrespect towards scanlation groups as if they're just factories that churn out translations makes things worse for everyone and is quite rude, really. You're forgetting that people who scanlate are human, too.

Why does this matter? Technically we're all stealing from the author and publishing company for not buying the original manga, as long as I get to read at a reasonable quality I don't care who it comes from.

I don't think it's very nice or decent to steal another group's project. Summer Rain was working on this and shouldn't have to deal with other groups stealing their stuff. I kindly ask you take this chapter down since they are currently working on this series. You could work together instead of starting this type of conflict. Especially since they're working very hard while getting their group back in gear after their admin passed away not too long ago. We all love this series and want to see it scanlated but we really should be working together. Especially to release the best version of Haru Matsu Bokura.

It's ...Alive!!!!!!
Definitely dislike Kamiyama.

He's the pushy guy not taking no for an answer that will eventually kiss her forcefully and will play dirty to get the girl.

Not that he will get her anyway. He's just the antagonist.

Alright this is one really diabetic and relaxing shoujo manga. Literally no tension, and all fluff.

I love it !

Suffering from the second lead syndrome here D:

Non verrà veramente più tradotto in italiano o in inglese questo manga?

:batoto_008:

Hey! I often read mangas that haven't yet been translated to English by using bubbler.me.. Some people have translated mangas there So I use batoto and bubbler to read the mangas.. just a tip if someone's on need.. Does anyone know where I can find the raws of this manga? Thanks!

I love this manga so much that even though I'm not fluent in Italian, I read the Italian translation. I understand how hard it is to translate the mangas but it's still disappointing to see that there's still no update when it comes to english translations.

grazie grazie grazie per il novo capitulo !!

Grazie per il nuovo capitolo ^^

time to reread this to remember what it was
