Aya-chan <3

Grazie per il vostro lavoro e per questo capitolo :)

uh...

so ya'll liking this manga or?

i like both guys to be honest *3*

You go asakura! Do your thing!
Fantástico! Muchas gracias!
Wow, i wish i could understand spanish or italian. They are such a nice and dedicated group. Keep up the good work!

Honestly I was enjoying the speedy updates from waiting for spring until people had to disrupt and stop them even though wfs explained they reached out to summer rain first with the intention of helping them.

I wonder when Summer rain is going to release their version of haru matsu bokura (chapters 19, 20, 21...). We've waited patiently for 5 months now and still no update from them. Im also beginning to have doubts that they are the hard working and dedicated group their friends claim them to be. Hmmm, Is the delay because they have lots of manga series they are handling on their list and their staff are probably busy with school and jobs and on top of that they are currently not accepting volunteers? Or have they lost motivation already? Well, hmb is obviously not their priority and since it is going to get licensed anyway so they are not concerned about their slow pace.

To Summer Rain, you said on your PSA that you have already purchased the raws of hmb and that you are going to continue scanlating it, but it seems you are more focused on other series and havent proven that youve worked on hmb. Even so, i will continue to wait and if you can catch up to the Latest chapter then your group will deserve my respect, support and millions of thanks.

To Wfs, (or any scanlators), i hope you will continue your fast updates before it gets licensed since anyway, batoto allows anyone to upload their work here. And dont mind those crazy haters.

I will always be grateful to those people who cared to update this series quickly.

If there wont be any update, well, life goes on...

All progress that was completed on chapters had to be restarted because we no longer had access to the original Box account that held everything. When Chane, Hues, and I took over we had no raws, no cleans, and no translations to any of our projects you are asking for. It was pure luck that a friend had raws for HMB. There were a lot of projects we needed to gather and sort through. We needed to make sure we could get the raws, and if there were any we wanted to drop, as well as gather a lot of our staff. This is why many of our releases aren’t as fast as they were before. All I can say is that I promise you we're working on things as quickly as we can. Rather than sitting idle and not updating anything at all while we have our projects in the works, we decided to at least upload our old projects to the reader. It was something Tsuba had been planning to do because of the loss of our old reader and website (summer-rain.info) over a year ago. She only managed to upload a few projects before she passed.I'm sorry if any of our replies came off as mean; I promise you our intention wasn't to appear that way. We’ve been trying to be more direct with our replies and answer questions clearly to prevent any and all misunderstandings.Hues, Chane, friends from other scanlation groups, and myself have put our all into rebuilding Summer Rain with what little we had left. I know; it's been stated over and over and over again and to some I imagine it's starting to sound like "my dog ate my homework", but it's true. It's the only answer we really have for you as to why our releases haven’t been as quick as they were in the past. Not only that, but Tsuba could proofread, clean, and typeset a chapter in a day and a half when she sat down to do it.
I’d also like to take the time in this comment to say that this entire "war" has taken a huge toll on us and many of our friends in the scanlation community. Hues, Chane, and I (along with many others in our group and others) were incredibly close with Tsuba. There was seldom a day where we didn't talk and spend time with her. We're doing our best to carry on Tsuba’s legacy; Summer Rain was something she did a lot for and practically put all of her time into.To me, Summer Rain is the only memento aside from memory that I have of one of my closest friends, and I'm sure there are many who can say they feel the same. So to have Summer Rain put in this kind of spotlight hurts. It has drained, angered, frustrated, and hurt many of us who were friends with Tsuba. This is a group our friend put so much of her life into.I made this comment to answer yours, and I'm sure many others', questions. Not to gain sympathy, not to gain pity. I promise we don't want that, but I can tell you what we do want.We want understanding. Summer Rain is its own entity, but the people behind it are very real. We get hurt, we get frustrated, and we understand your impatience. Like many of you, we also have lives with school and jobs and other things outside of scanlation and manga. As I'm sure this "war" has angered and frustrated many of you, it has angered and hurt many of us too.

Thank you for your kind reply. I hope this concludes the scanlation war and everyone will get along and move on. I will be waiting for your updates and include scc please.

"Be nice because you can never go wrong with kindness."

Normally, I don't like to get involved in this kind of situation but honestly, I'm also frustrated as I am a summer rain follower ever since tsubaki's administration.

So when exactly are you going to release new chapters of short cake cake and others if I may ask? I am politely asking. I was excited when you posted short cake cake on your tumblr only to my dismay, it was again a compilation of old releases. It's almost February and you still haven't released new chapters coming from your team. I have even donated to help summer rain before. You said you have already purchased the raws and have plenty of members but why are you not proving you are working hard by releasing them? You have three admins now, to think 3 is better than 1. If I compare you to other scanlation groups or during tsubaki's time, when she worked almost everything on her own, you guys are honestly slow. Or are you intentionally delaying because people have been nagging you for releases and it won't make you work faster because it makes you angry?

I'm also beginning to wonder whether the new admins or staff are "nice" people, for I am a victim of getting a harsh reply from somebody from summer rain even though I only asked a simple innocent question. Talk about work ethics.

I hope you guys don't misunderstand me as being rude, but if you feel that way then I am completely sorry for being honest.

It's We are Waiting for Spring NOT we are waiting for summer rain. joke!

 • Where is the insult though? I don't understand.
and quite frankly, wouldn't you be insulted as well if you were working your best and hardest at something, but someone (with no real experience and full understanding of the situation you were working in) decided that you weren't working fast enough, weren't getting what they wanted done quickly enough, so they decide to help(a.k.a do it for you). even if it was with the kindest and most genuine intentions, are you saying you wouldn't be insulted or irritated at all?

I understand that colorfulsprings shouldn't have been sent hate and attacked so viciously( whether they meant ill will or not - no one deserves hate messages), but i also understand why admin hues from summer rain reacted in such a harsh and offended manner.

if you want to take a true middle ground(which im sure many of you are that are reading the comments), you could say both sides reacted poorly. However, I have to side with summer rain scans. in my take of things, colorful spring threw the first punch (even if it was unintentional) when they requested summer rain to post a chapter (that summer rain had no hand in) on their own website.

Where is the insulting you ask? The message from Hues is dripping with contempt, scorn, disdain, you name it, for someone they don't know and for their work, which, even if imperfect, they could have helped make better, so then it would have been a collaboration and everyone would have been happier.

While SRS is going through a difficult time, that doesn't give them the right to be asses to everyone else. If SRS rejected the help, it's obviously not because they were working on it, but because of some feeling of entitlement to something that doesn't even belong to them and some feeling of "You think we can't do it alone? You disrespectin' us!".

Even though the person who passed on was more than welcoming of the help. Who is disrespecting who?

All of this could have been avoided if SRS just had accepted the help and set up a collaboration where they would proofread or do some QC (which is a lighter work than translating and typesetting) so everyone, and the readers would come off better. Unless they already had a translation ready (which nobody mentioned), they should have felt grateful someone was volunteering to lighten their burden and could have posted it on their website as a collaboration and would even have had THANKS from the readers.

So, no, I wouldn't feel insulted if someone wanted to HELP ME, even if it's out of selfish interest. You know, if Colorful Spring were really only interested in HMB being translated, they could have kept the translation to themselves, or posted it without asking anyone anything.

Accepting help when you need it is not showing weakness. None is going to stab you in the back. It's not meant to insult you. You're not going to lose your job because someone took over a part you couldn't handle because of the load.

There's no middle-ground here. Enough with middle-grounds. It's too late for that. It'll only lead to dissatisfaction for everyone involved. If I have to pick a side, I'm with the readers : I want to read new chapters, in proper english, I don't care who makes them or for their circumstances.

I hope Colorful Spring continues to publish new chapters of Haru Matsu Bokura. If SRS wants to continue to make their own version, more power to them, none will stop them.

If every group stops and then there's no more translation, then so be it. It won't be the first manga I follow that doesn't get new chapters in years.

There are thousands other manga out there to read. I'll say "too bad" and move on.

Normally, I don't like to get involved in this kind of situation but honestly, I'm also frustrated as I am a summer rain follower ever since tsubaki's administration.

It's We are Waiting for Spring NOT we are waiting for summer rain. joke!

That Hues person can't be called "nice". They feel insulted (by someone who didn't intend to as I understand) and they hurl insults back, fully intending to.

I'd have the same reaction as "Waiting For Spring" : if you take it like that, even though I offered help in good faith, you can go to hell and I'll do what I want.

Since bato.to doesn't care about scanlation teams wars and hosts any and all chapters as long as the translation is not stolen, go for it.

Being offended doesn't mean you're right.

PS: I'm just a reader. I don't translate anything. I don't care about wars. I just want to read manga, and in this case Haru Matsu Bokura, in a reasonably good quality, as fast as possible (IE, before I forget what the plot was about).

 • Where is the insult though? I don't understand.
 •
 • Hello and thank you for the message. I must say, I'm in awe of this generosity. Never did I think the slow but steady progress and recovery from our predecessor's unexpected passing could be helped so much by this surprise offer to release the next chapter of Haru Matsu Bokura, and on our site nonetheless. Surely you sent this with good intentions, but I must say no to the offer. Since your perception of how scanlation works is abysmal, allow to elaborate on a few things. First, our website is only for projects which we've worked on, be it solo or in tandem with another group. Second, your assistance isn't necessary since we're doing well, given the situation, and our staff members are giving it their all. Third, it's incredibly insulting when those who have no experience in translating or preparing a chapter for release decide that the group currently spending time and money to make it available to readers isn't going fast enough. If you really want to help out the scans community with faster and higher quality releases, join a group and learn about how scanlation works. -Admin Hues

I know that colorfulspring offered to help with hmb first, before they outright worked on Haru Matsu Bokura and uplloaded the chapter on their own. But i also know that summer rain rejected that offer because they knew they had plenty of staff to help and work on the project. All of this was explained by themselves when they noticed what was happening in a psa that admin kyky added to the comments:

https://www.summerrain.moe/psa-concerning-haru-matsu-bokura-and-summer-rain/

As promised, here is a post from Hues, Chane, and I that further explains the situation involving Haru Matsu Bokura and the current situation of SummerRain.

We hope that this answers everyone's questions. If not, once again, please don't hesitate to come and ask Admin Chane, Admin Hues, and/or I on any of our social media accounts.

Thank You!

Kyky

we were also given the explanation from colorful spring as well:

this is edited!

Good day to all!  ^_^

It was I who uploaded the english update of this manga and with that I am truly sorry to those people who are upset (fans and staff of Summer Rain Scans). I would like to explain our side...

I've been a fan of this manga since last year so I wanted to join SRS. I decided I want to HELP out since I've noticed it was ONLY tsubaki working on cleaning and typesetting all the SRS mangas (around june-august). So [October 7], I asked tsubaki (their admin) thru chat if they need help with typesetting/ cleaning hmb. She replied [October 8] that they need help with everything in general with all series and if interested, apply (she's recruiting probably because some members are busy)... I applied the test [october 8] and even e-mailed tsubaki (the late admin) but didn't get a reply. Later, I found out the day after I emailed her, she passed away [October 9]. I found this on their website under tsubaki's name "RIP August 18, 1991- October 9, 2016. In loving memory of Tsubaki (With emoticon). At first, I was curious if it was a joke or if it meant she just quit but I saw comments of condolences so i guess it must be true. (condolences to her family and may she rest in peace) Whoever posted it must be her close friend or neighbor who knew of her sudden death and has the time to post it right away.

Months, later, I asked the new admin of the group if they accept new members they said No. I would still offer my time and skills for FREE if that's what it takes to help the group. (so yeah, I just wanted to help)... and I waited for them to start updating. I thought they were doing well, but the ones they updated to their new site (on january) were actually their old work. (I was having doubts on whether they were working hard on new chapters...)

So, I have a friend who has the raws of the manga and decided to work with her. Then, I emailed our work to the new SRS hoping for a collaboration but admin hues rejected our work.
But that's ok we were already prepared for that. and informed them that we will be continuing working on this since my friend has raws of the series. (btw, we ask for itsukii's permision and said to give credits)

I am stealing their project??? But I informed them though and why should we need their permission, its not like they own the series, besides, aren't all scanlation group doing it? For not getting permission from the REAL author of the manga... ? (pirates) I am supporting the author (i am even a fan myself) but I can't understand japanese so I'm relying on the eng translations found on the internet.

While I agree with fiddlerofmanga about how this could’ve been avoided if Summer Rain were nicer, but I can confidently say that the admins of Summer Rain are VERY NICE and will not use sarcasm against anyone without reason.

PS: I’m not part of Summer Rain’s staff but I am obviously furious as a reader and a scanlator nonetheless.

Of course you misunderstood me silly.

Please gather the facts first before you start lying typing.

For Your Information, the "rip...in loving memory...with an emoticon..." thing was posted around october 9 or 10 of 2016.
If you visit summerrain's website under Tsubaki's name, you can clearly see that the first person's comment was posted on Oct. 10, 2016. Maybe you can ask one of SRS admins who was the one who posted it since they claim one of them has access to the website and he/she can probably tell how she died that day.
Clearly, you misunderstood me. I have respect for her too. i just want the facts out there.

Yes, my mistake there.

I did not break the news to them until her sister had gotten back to me, and I mixed it up with the memorial dates. But I suppose I'm a liar now for being bad with dates ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To Waiting for Spring: Refer to my username.

No friends or staff of summer rain would be so livid about the situation if it was simply another group or individual 'stealing' their project. We are here because whoever is behind 'Waiting for Spring Scans' obviously can't take a little criticism from their peers, and feels the need to make Summer Rain look like bullies. You originally asked them if they could host YOUR work on THIER website. Of course they would be taken back and even mad because you don't understand that whatever is on THEIR website is there because THEIR TEAM worked on it.

Next time, save us all time and energy and just post this instead:

Wahhh admin Hues rejected my work!!! She doesn't wanna put it on their reader and she doesn't wanna collaborate... I know! Since I already finished chapter 19 I'll put it up anyway~
Awwwwww now she's mad because I didn't respect their boundaries and I put up the chapter, let me just put up more and play the victim. I ONLY WANTED TO HELP!

---------

To the readers:

Now, I don't know what exactly 'Waiting For Spring' wrote to Summer Rain earn the fury of admin Hues, but god have mercy on them if they're ever are in the same room.

The following is what admin Hues replied word for word to 'Waiting for Spring's' original inquiry about posting their work on Summer Rain's site, whether or not you believe me is up to you:

 • Hello and thank you for the message. I must say, I'm in awe of this generosity. Never did I think the slow but steady progress and recovery from our predecessor's unexpected passing could be helped so much by this surprise offer to release the next chapter of Haru Matsu Bokura, and on our site nonetheless. PS: I’m not part of Summer Rain’s staff but I am obviously furious as a reader and a scanlator nonetheless.

I'm with Summer Rain on this battle, but I cannot condone their awful behavior towards colorfulspring. Instead of conversing with her as a fellow human being, they went out for blood right from the get-go. The way the admins insulted her while "educating" her on scanlation etiquette and the passing of their admin was despicable. I understand that the passing of this admin could not have been easy for anyone since I see many were friends with her, but here she was used as an excuse to hurl obscenities at colorfulspring, who only wanted to release chapters quickly so everyone could enjoy the manga. Isn't this why many groups are created in the first place?

If Summer Rain had respected colorfulspring from the start, because she only had GOOD intentions, there would have been no need for this needless scanlation "war".

Clearly people need to stop with the "holier than thou" flamewar. Spend your time reading manga instead, or go for a walk and take a deep breath. The SJWs are annoying.

Shit happens. Move on.

To those people who want to continue scanlating this series, please feel free to do so. I will left you with this qoute from one moderato to arm you with in case someone tells you to take it down.

Every scanlator can upload their work here as long as it follows the rules. Whether or not it is being done by more than one scanlation group doesn't matter.

Even if the other scanlation group uploaded a chapter yesterday, you are free to upload your version as long as it is YOUR version or a version from a separate group that has given permission for the chapter to be uploaded.

So sick and tired of you people sending me hate messages and attacking me. You know who you are. I am reporting you. So just sit back and relax.

Of course you misunderstood me silly.

SR didn't post the news right away FYI. No one had the energy to ask for the credentials to the site, it wasn't posted until at least MORE than a week after her death.

Yes infact i sent her a message.
I just want to point out that tsubaki (summer rain scanlations) their only admin then, used itsukii's translation for their chapter 18 release, maybe you should ask her too if shes still around.

I hope it's just a misunderstanding and by asking 'her' if she's still around, I hope you mean Itsukii and not Tsuba.

Clearly you have no sympathy for a group that had just lost their BEST FRIEND, Tsuba wasn't only an admin who worked really hard. She was a compassionate friend who was always there for you, and she made EVERYONE feel welcomed even if they weren't active members or nice people.                        I hope you realize how it'll feel like when you lose someone close to you.

please let me get this straight. you are telling this person to go and ask Summer Rain's dead admin if she asked to use itsukii's translation on their chapter 18 release? Or are you telling her to ask itsukii? How you chose to word that implies the former and seems incredibly rude and disrespectful. i just wish to clear that (hopefully, misunderstanding) up.
Vanilla shoujo is vanilla. But you can't go wrong with vanilla.

Poor childhoodfriend/rival is going to crash and burn in the end, because no sane mangaka would make the main couple not happening.
Yes infact i sent her a message.
