Holy crap, this is more ruthless than GoT O.o

Also, why is it friggin Josei? What part about this manga is Josei?

Whether a manga falls into josei, seinen, shoujo, or shounen has nothing to do with the manga itself. It depends entirely on what magazine the manga is published in, and whether that magazine is josei, seinen, shoujo, or shounen. That, in turn, depends on the target audience. In theory, dragon-ball could have been josei if it had been published in a josei-magazine.

However, because of the stereotype (true or not) that young boys like action and teenage girls like romance, mangas aimed at young boys (shounen) will typically be action-oriented, and mangas aimed at teenage girls (josei) will typically be focused on romance. The key word is "typically". It is not a requirement, just a statistical fact.

it was gai rei zero i think

Ah, yea, that's the one. Man, that was traumatizing, never did manage to finish it.

p.s. Just finished binging this series, and its style and narrative reminded me ALOT of Wolfsmund. And contrary to what I've read in the comments, it isn't as plagued by death as I expected. (went in thinking the entire garrison will get wiped out, to my surprise, the pace of death of the protagonist's side to the pace of the story is surprisingly low). I am glad I stumbled upon this gem. Curiously, from what I saw on the official websites, this series is actually complete with volume 4, so a few more chapters to go ;p

Is Melka alive? There are like 5 characters that look like older versions of him. Sameface hard bruh.

well Levi is his brother afterall and Gad is from the same tribe and well the author almost doesn't make backgrounds, it wouldn't be that weird that is lazy with some faces hahaha

So uh...how about dem backgrounds, huh?

Remember that one anime that had the entire cast die off in episode 1, replaced with a completely new cast from episode 2 onward... Man, that was a deal-breaker for me XD. Can't remember the name though, remember orange jumpsuits for the first cast and motorcycles/armored trucks and highways and probably aliens.

I think someone forgot to turn a layer when uploading the most recent chapter :P

Makes it have a really experimental vibe though...

As far as uniform design, and in general, it reminds me a lot Last Exile. I can't help but think of Sky Crawlers too.

Has some flaws but I'm always happy to find manga like this. When characters die this quickly and the outlook is constantly bleak, if it's taken too far to the point of becoming a complete joke then it could stray into  Akame ga Kill territory. Or, shit.

Hm, I remember trying to read this 2 years ago. Never made it past chapter two......I guess the premise and character can't suck me in. It's seems rather ...dull.

The premise has potential, but the death of the main character(s) each arc leaves a lot to be desired in terms of character development. I simply don't feel anything for the majority of new characters that get killed off so fast I can't even keep track of their names.

Which should clue you in and this doesn't intend to be character driven.

Was pretty interesting till chapter 3 and suddenly Naruto running and back flips. I'll pass.

How could I miss the release of this chapter ?!

It's always good to have more information on what's going on.

The premise has potential, but...

While I'll probably agree with your point, this should be spoiler tagged for others. :)

I love this manga, but I have no idea why it's taking so long to get scanlated :< Volume 4 has been out for nearly a year now. Can we help in any way? I can donate some dough, if that's what's needed.

People really need to read this, cause it's so good.

Sorry for the delays! This is probably because our translator has been busy IRL. >.< Meanwhile, we have up to 28 (end) scanned and cleaned, so we are able to finish each chapter as soon as possible after translations are complete. ^^"

And yes, it's a great series <3

Ah !!! New chapter ! I'm so happy <3 and scared... Who'll die next :S

Funny how Melka left such a strong impression in chapter one that he's still one of the more beloved characters in the series despite being long dead.

Oh my god Fazu's getting development he better not be the next kill I swear to god don't be trashy you're better than this Husk of Eden

21 was a short chapter, but without a doubt a good one.

I can't believe I have never heard of this.  This is so danged great, and I love what's brewing.  Cannot wait.

I think I need to re-read the whole thing. XD

yay and thanks for the update, Fallen Syndicate

So this and Akame ga Kill? Which one is better?

This. Definitely this.

How can this have a smut tag and not have a red mark on it when you search for this series?
