Just read everything so far in two days.
I agree. This is almost too good.
I will have to find some creative and painful way of punishing myself for not finding out about this series before now.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but apparently Louis Philippe d'Orleans, the theatrical nutjob who's been around for some time, is the same who will vote for Louis XVI's execution during the Revolution, despite the King being his cousin.

Needless to say, Philippe too will lose his head to the guillotine.
Nooooo! I can't read chap 66~, this bug is cliffhanging me, someone pull me up ;_;
I am dying of anticipation...
Again, Art that challenges murata himself. I wonder how long it takes to do a chapter of this masterwork when it comes to art.
Thanks for the scans, Hi wa mata noboru!
Cool!
charles henri-sanson did actually become an executioner when he was just 15 years old so imo shinichi making the coolest 11 year old youve ever seen, who has been enthusiastically training since birth probably, isnt that far off, ... right....
Yeah, this was the point I officially buried any sense of disbelief and enjoyed the ride..
>Eleven years old
Innocent Rouge isn't really a spin off or a sequel, so much as a direct continuation in a new magazine. The story picks up exactly where Innocent Volume 9 ends. You can find raws of the first four chapters of Rouge from magazine scans if you google around. Innocent Rouge Volume 1 came out about 2 weeks ago so there should be raws of the entire volume (containing chapters 1-6) popping up in the next few weeks.
The first chapter of Innocent Rouge has been made available online here by the publisher: http://grandjump.shueisha.co.jp/original/innocent_rouge1/
Chapters 98 and 99 of Innocent are avialble there as well: http://grandjump.shueisha.co.jp/original/innocent98/

Anyway, I'm very excited this series is being translated again!
Well, to be fair all pictorial depictions we have of the man are from his later years, and almost all were made in the Republican era (there was a taboo against publishing his image in the Kingdom) long after the events depicted in the series to date. Contemporaries of Charles-Henri who knew him in youth tend to depict him as being a handsome, fit man back then - and he had to have been fit considering the sword was his primary tool of the trade. Maybe not quite the personification of male beauty seen in the manga, but not as bad as his older self, certainly.
The manga does do a hilarious spin on the red surcoat of the executioner. As we can see real life can be quite cruel.
beautiful!
elegant!
such grandiose!
Ahh SAKAMOTO Shinichi's drawing... but some facts about execution are different from things i've read in historic books. For example, swords were used when victims were sitting (death usually reserved for people of higher birth) not kneeling. Axes and guillotine on the other hand cut vertically.
Oh, and to those interested Foucault in his book "Discipline and Punish" in first chapter "The body of the condemned" cites raport from execution of Damiens.
Chapter 68 is a blast...
Just saw the raws, volume 9 (which includes chapter 99) seems to be the last one but I could be mistaken.
This would make Rouge a sequel then.
It's a sequel of sorts. Since Innocent changed the magazine it was published, from weekly to bimonthly, Sakamoto saw it fit to make it seem as a continuation.
And as far as I know, there are raws up to chapter 99.
Excellent work by the scanlators! Thanks for the new chapters of this masterpiece!
Forgot to ask before, but what exactly is Innocent Rouge? Sequel? Spinoff/sidestory about Marie?
And most important, are there raws out there?
Charles-Henri Sanson
Based Hi Wa Mata Noboru
Thanks to translators. glad that manga continues.
Yes, YES, YES!
Thank you so much for the updates, this series is literally a fine arts class.
How it can be so marginally unknown, that's just a crime.
WIN!
Also, thanks for the upload, this manga is too good to be left untranslated.
