shit got real...?

Spoiler

I love Jiho, and I was really looking forward to this arc. I am really enjoying it ; <; -- But, I am also impatiently awaiting the idol arc..... Oh, who am I kidding? I'm impatiently awaiting everything.

I thought, he'd win 100+mil or someth... But looks like he's back to square one.

Indeed.  So classic it was the core of that classic movie "The Sting".

Spoiler

God, young Robert Redford was too hot.

I don't understand why people can be so blinded by greed. It's so obvious betting sites like these are always scams. Why would anyone give you free money? It's common sense

Gambling addiction is an ugly thing. The hope/promise of winning large amounts of money with little effort has the same effect on many people as an open flame does to moths.

This arc has been the hardest for me in this series because gambling addiction is such a real problem for a great many people. And plenty of them develop their addictions through scams just like this. And until Jiho realizes he has an addiction, there isn't anything that anyone can do to help him. All he will do is destroy the lives of those around him to feed his addiction.

This particular arc is just very depressing. I really hope it ends soon.

no way!!

I'm not really feeling this one either.  Don't get me wrong, I actually appreciate Park Tae Joon's tendency to push the do-gooder messages . . . but the problem here is there has been almost no characterization space for anyone I am interested in.  This greedy, dim little punk doesn't do it for me.

Tell the mother!

I really dislike this side story, it's really dumb..hope it ends soon and we get back on the main story. :|

This is pretty much any standard con scam. You see it used with horse betting, too. You tell a guy you got a line on a horse, it wins a couple races (or alternatively, you tell your mark which horses will be winners.), then when he trusts you you get him to go "all in," on something which of course, leaves you with the money.

I honestly like Ha Neul more than the body-switching girl. The author has been drawing Ha Neul prettier lately (mostly not giving her awful looking hair) and she seems to genuinely like him in his fat form. She's also had a lot of character development to the point that she doesn't really bully/look down on people for their appearance anymore. The body-switching girl hasn't been forced to have that revelation/growth because she was "ugly" to begin with. Ha Neul liking Hyung Suk as his fat/short self and being able to see past his appearance despite always having been a pretty/attractive girl seems worth more than a girl who is fat/short herself being able to find something attractive in a guy who's also fat/short. IDK, I feel like Ha Neul's feelings are strong because she had to overcome the mental barrier and reconsider her world view rather than the body-switching girl who prefers plain guys to begin with.

But I can tell Ha Neul's not gonna win in the end... she's always just been comedic relief :(

Maybe we can ship her with Duk Wah (the ugly and fat, but kind dude that sings rap)

Aftr all in the last chapters they've been together (although she's there for Mc's mark FAT), maybe something can come out from that, after all she's indeed changing a lot, and Duk Wah is an amazing dude.

Man, I miss Jae Yeol.

Unfortunately common sense isn't very common.

I really like the visual effect used to show jiho's state of mind. Good job, author!

wanting to believe is the biggest reason numbing agent.

I wonder if this story arc is loosely based on that CS:GO betting shenanigans that happened, with some big name YouTubers getting caught red-handed. The betting site basically preyed upon young kids, with the YouTubers essentially gaming it while promoting it. So they would show off videos on them winning stuff, and then kids would pile on trying to win afterward, much like the trap Jin Ho is about to fall into.

Ehhhhhhhhh definitely not.

This chapter came out on the 16th june, 11 days before HonorTheCall posted his first video on it, which was 6 days before it all blew up because of Ethans video.

OOoooooh.... I don't know the dates of the original publishing. Thanks for the heads up.

Ehhhhhhhhh definitely not.

Guess it was based on earlier, similar scams that didn't make such big news.  The big publicized one is never the first.

(I've never understood why anyone would gamble on the internet, where the only way to tell if you won is . . . if the people who have to give money for payouts tell you you won)

I've already read this arc, as I usually have, but I won't spoil anything! I'll just say a real cute looking character makes his debut in this arc ~~~

It's perfectly harmless.

You make a guess, and then it decides whether you were right or not.

What's wrong with that?

[sarcasm]

C'mon, give it a try . . . first hit's profitable.
