I'm honestly confused about why this has such low ratings. The art is lovely, the characters are interesting and I found myself engrossed in this manga and in particular, Yoshiki's narrative.

Certainly it explores dark subjects, but the author hasn't delved deeply into that and from what I'm seeing, probably won't.

So for those who are greatly offput by rape, domestic violence and torture, don't dismiss this manga too quickly. Like Ainole said, there's nothing too gory and in my opinion, the approach is pretry mild- the mangaka doesn't stay long on moments of physical suffering; they're more like flashes of images.

For those looking for delicious yaoi, so far this is not that. But there certainly are cute moments that are nice to hold onto amidst the darker moments. But overall, I personally didn't find the manga disturbing.

Interesting story. Despite what the description suggests, the events are really told from Katou's (the friend) point of view. Nothing to gorey is shown just so you know.

Curiously I find the drawings very gentle.
