It is literally, physically impossible for anime to be better than the manga it was based on

Even a crappy manga like this one

Non Non Biyori begs to differ.

Do LNs count?

Because for example Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo was massively improved in the anime. LN is generic, mostly boring and has no romantic tension because one of the important characters was at best secondary in the original.

Also many Kyoani adaptations like Chuunibyou are better as anime, because of character designs and changes in characters/plot. Or Hyouka, even though it didn't change many things, it did change the order of some mysteries/side-stories but for the better, even after reading the LN.

Have you ever seen Teekyuu?

Anime is like, 10x times better. Has backgrounds too.

Missing Volume 9 (ch.160-179)  was translated somewhere?

someone on 4chan's /a has been translating the series, they've almost caught up to the magazine raws, various people seem to be typesetting and editing the pages erratically.

I agree. But until they announce season 5 or an ova, this is the best we're gonna get

What is it with the Japanese and this whole “gender bender” genre?

nothing much really there's very few of them to be perfectly honest and even fewer good ones, but it exist in western media too, it's just that then it's usually a girl posing as a guy rather than this way around

What is it with the Japanese and this whole “gender bender” genre?

Having to remind oneself that mako-chan is a boy...

4 Chapters update baby mmm...~!

WTF was that? Did that lose something in translation or was it bananas in the original?

Lots of word play... Pretty sure there was a whole bunch of double meanings that won't come across in EN.

Now that's a classy way to troll someone mmm...

Thanks for the hard work! It's always nice to be able to come back to this series every once in a while.

Special Tribute 10 Years:

Spoiler

If someone happened to save these images could they re-up them somewhere else and repost them since the twitter images died I thought I had saved them but it appears I didn't.

edit: fun fact the japanese predisposition to hayfever is mostly due to large scale reforesting efforts following the second world war and was actually somewhat uncommon before the 1980s mostly it's associated with the widely planted Cryptomeria japonica also known as sugi

Village Idiot translation is just horrible, leaving words like "ohayou" and "todayma" untranslated is completely unnecessary. There is even a page where a character says "kora" and on the very same page is a note that translates "kora" as hey, what was the point of leaving it as "kora" in the first place?

Shut up, L. All hail the TL notes.

Touma's so cute~

Aaaww, Touma's first love.

I haven't noticed anything worth complaining about in the translations, hell I'm just glad that it's getting translated at all after all this time.
