Beautiful art and a pretty nice tory. It has been a while since i have found a really good artist/author.

Wow, even with the art alone I love this. The story itself is a well told, classic revenge story, albeit slightly twisted when the man isn't truly reformed. But that art really pushes this into something great.

"slightly twisted"? That makes it more like real life.

After reading shonen manga for a long time, it's easy to forget that a story like this can end with a wicked man neither reformed nor a friendly nor dead, but wicked still and frightened too. Quite refreshing, which I feel deserves mention even if it may say more about my tastes than the work itself.

Real nice oneshot and boy am I digging the art. The brushstrokes give it some grit and watercolors are always appealing.

Much appreciated.

the art is really fantastic :000

Hey there, translator here! Hope you enjoyed this manhua oneshot we've worked on for Chinese New Year! ZAODAO posted this oneshot on her blog back in December, but with the theme being monkeys, I thought it might be a nice idea to release it on the eve of Chinese New Year (in the west, really. The first day of celebrations begin today for those in the east, haha), which will mark the transition from the Year of the Monkey to the Year of the Rooster on the zodiac.

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to the members who’ve helped with this release, as I originally wasn’t sure if it could be done on time for Chinese New Year. They completely surpassed my expectations by getting everything done within a few days and allowing us to sit on the release for about two weeks!

If you’ve enjoyed this oneshot and haven’t read the other oneshots by ZAODAO we’ve worked on, you might be interested in checking them out as well. The first we released was Bugs, and the second was Mutation.

If you like ZAODAO’s artwork, you can check out her art blog here and consider purchasing her two artbooks: 松风 (Song of Sylvan) and 野作 (Wild Works). Both of them have also been published in France (“Le souffle du vent dans les pins” and “Carnet sauvage” respectively).

Thank you for reading, and once again, I really hope you enjoyed reading this oneshot.

祝大家新年快乐!
