I find it funny how extremely butthurt people are over others saying the art sucks.

"Oh noes my precious manga is being ridicuuuulllllllllllllllllllllled"

"Zomg too many anime n000bz, I can't takes it...."

Yes, it's 2016, where people should be able to draw, and produce art that doesn't look bad, especially with all of the technology available to aid in design and drawing.

So you're logic is that you're okay with light novels, or books, over a manga then?  ONE should have just written a light novel of OPM if he didn't want art.  How does art NOT affect a story? The whole point of ART is to show what's going on, and give a visual to the words....  Logic.....

Engrish please?  I'm 100% sure I've been reading this manga longer than you....  Nor have I even seen the Anime... yet.

Honestly, I doubt it. If you indeed have read thousands manga, you would not have problem with just shit art.

That along you keep trying to say, "I have read thousands manga and probably read it before you read it" just shows how new you are...

Either way enjoy your wanna-be-like-an-old-fag.. I am too tired to even argue

Btw, it is quite fascinating to see that you don't criticize OMK or MM ?

I just realised

"hentai/smut manga (which usually has amazing art)"

welp that is it guys, I am abandoning this ship. This guy definitely a troll or just plain stupid

I was really excited when I heard about it, but I haven't really watched anime in a long time, plus not really sure what a good and safe site to watch would be.  I used to use manga/anime-here, but there are some nasties in the ads there, so I avoid them now.  Batoto is where I read my manga now (if that isn't obvious :P).

I think I will enjoy it  a lot, it seems they went pretty far in the anime.

I haven't really read the remake in awhile, I should give it another read, it seems it's quite far now.

I'm excited to see the Monster Association in the remake...  Sup Black Sperm?  (best monster ever, besides Golden Sperm).

It is gonna be a while before any of us see Black sperm or the monsters association. After this strange arc with Saitama ends(Hopefully ONE knows what he is doing) then we'll probably see the fleshed out version of the Monsters association arc. How long this arc takes depends on 3 things really, how far ahead can ONE push the web comic, how much he intends to fill out Fapou, and how much he gets infatuated with this arc if it turns out well(because up until the recent chapter it felt like 100% filler with no purpose).

Give it a try, I'd say it captures the general feeling of the series quite nicely.

Who cares if it's a gag manga, or a hentai/smut manga (which usually has amazing art), the art is important, and just because YOU don't care about it, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.

I like that One has been improving, and that art isn't his strong suit, but some parts could have been done better, but obviously rushed.  Overall I hope he continues to get better.

I liked one punch man before it was cool! I'm actually being half serious, the reason why we love it is because the characters are good

I've like OPM for years, that doesn't excuse the fact that good manga has good art.  It can be a good story, but if it looks like crap, then it kind of takes away from the awesomeness of the content.

A story is more than just "Characters."

Does the art matter? Does it get in the way of the story? NO. Does Muratas additional art flush out the already cool fight scenes? Yes. Why are we debating a point of irrelevance. For those of you who feel that the art matters a little, then think of the original as the story board for Murata's manga version(It kinda is anyway).

Yes, the art does get in the way of the story, because if you cannot see wtf is going on, then how can you appreciate it?

"Oh look, blob 1 is fighting slime 3..... I think....."

It shouldn't be the storyboard, it should be the finished work.  I'm glad it was redone by Murata, he's extremely talented.

the anime brought too many cancer along with it ffs

Well it was good for some fights like the floaty psychic squid thing(that I wont bother looking up his name). However it did have some flaws, such as the misuse of music in the last fight or the feebleness that the multi-headed creature(which I too wont look up). It basically did nothing, whereas in the manga it was constantly attacking with gusto and might but ended up being overwhelmed the entire time by the ferocity of the S-classes. Other than that, its really good.

I personally feel that the music on the final battle (I assume you mean after Saitama came back from the moon?) was well chose, as it drew the final parallels between Saitama and Lord Boros before the latter was ultimately defeated.

But yes, the multi-headed alien did feel a bit... feeble in comparison to his manga counterpart. If its battle was faster paced, I think that would fix at least part the problem...

It's probably one of the worst, if not the worst Art I've seen in a Manga.  HxH had some bad parts, but some of this is just scribbles.  For example, Monster Garou...  Basically a bunch of scribbles inside a silhouette of a monster... wtf lmao...

This is my opinion on the matter, butit seems he's getting better, which is something I've read from other comments.  Some of it looks okay, but as it's pointed out, it's a bit rushed.

The thing is, the story is amazing, and that's what really counts.  The fact it's being remade is a testament to One's story ability.

i'm not really sure what the difference between a "Web Comic" and a Manga is.  There seems to be a lot of different words used for various things, including country of origin.  Wouldn't this still be a manga?

The anime probably made way for a lot of people to make comments like that...  I personally haven't seen the Anime, but heard it was great!  I really am looking forward to checking it out though, because I've loved OPM for a long time now, even so much as to re-read the original again :).

It is decent enough is what I meant. Sorry about the rash post, I just read it like your dissing ONE's art like a few people who move from the mange(now anime) to the original web comic and believe that its a fan fic.

The additional details and scenes are nice, but in a lot of instances they're just unnecessary and sometimes even detrimental (e.g. Saitama on the moon was nonsense).

Well I and a few others found it quite amazing and somewhat entertaining(no it was awesome).

But this is just my experience.  Murata does pretty well with those additional chapters and story-arcs - feeling the Metal Bat experience.

Although their are the... less satisfactory arcs like the tournament arc with Saitama. That was kinda like a black hole that Murata fell into and couldn't get out. Let us hope that he finds a way to make it interesting.

The thing is that ONE still does the scenes, its just that some else(who is extremely talented) draws them. Its not like ONE's art does not contain detail, it does, but its presentation is rushed not necessarily bad. The reason I mentioned Mob in my previous post is because it gives a lot of detail, like OPM, but in a more clarified way. A lot of awesomeness is almost lost in this because ONE has so much to offer and generally can't in the web comic. Some scenes lose their comedy(like the serous side hops) due to an almost entirely different mood set by the previous fights but most just become more incredible like the Boros fight, which I won't even bother to read in the original any more.

Yeah in the end, it really depends on what you take out of the story.

I know what you mean by "awesomeness is lost", but as a person who reads a lot of shounen action/fantasy, I've seen quite a bit of that as it is.  Does Murata's version stand out?  Not really - at least not anymore.  I've found too many substitutes for that epic, spine-chilling feeling.  The additional details and scenes are nice, but in a lot of instances they're just unnecessary and sometimes even detrimental (e.g. Saitama on the moon was nonsense).

Meanwhile, I haven't seen a great many comics that do well or "better" with crappy art, so the experience is a lot more unique and the greatness derives from something other than exciting battles.

But this is just my experience.  Murata does pretty well with those additional chapters and story-arcs - feeling the Metal Bat experience.

On its own, the remake's art is obviously better.  But does it really add anything to the story?

Usually when something is "so bad it's good" (in this case, the art) it's because it converts itself into some level of absurd humor.  Add in to the fact that this is primarily a parody/gag manga with an already absurd premise and the bad art lends itself to the story wonderfully.  It bothers me that his art is getting better, but I still see traces of the old style in various bodily proportions and poses.

The redraw contains gorgeous detail and the art direction itself is exciting....but I always thought that the original art is the best for this story in particular.  There's hardly a need to put the art aside and just say "the story is why I'm here".  I'm here for the art+story.

Meanwhile the art of the redraw practically carries a different tone, one which is diminished simply because I've seen it many times before (primarily action shounen with funny jokes).  In essence, it feels a lot more pure in the original than the remake (the remake still has its absurdities such as absurd detail and frame-rate, mind you) and that's what makes it better.

Of course if you're in it primarily for the fight scenes and focus on the stunning action rather than the jokes, the redraw is the place to be - you're probably just here for advancement in the plot i.e. spoilers.

P.S. I don't want to exclude the opinion that the redraw art is also funnier - it's always a matter of taste, but for the select few who would actually suggest the original's art is better, this is probably what they mean.

I would assume so, why wouldn't he?  It's his work, no one else can make money off of his work, that's illegal :).

I started to read "Mob Psycho" when it first came out and had 6 chapters.  I've been reading OPM for a long time now, not sure what your comment is in reference though... The art?

Not sure me being "new" or "old" has anything to do with his art style though?  Are you saying Chapter 100 of Mob Psycho is very good or..?

I want to start Mob Psycho again though, I heard it's pretty good?

With all this popularity for OPM, it makes me wonder if ONE is getting any royalty pay? I mean, he did create the whole series after all.

Have you seen Mod psycho 100? How new to OPM are you???

Lmaoo!!  This is great...  Where did you find this?  I'm assuming this is fan-art, right?

One brought out some serious laughs with what Saitama did there.  So many jokes and comments out there now.

Well, being bratty/bitchy and annoying doesn't mean you have to be ugly, usually it's the hot chicks that act that way/tusnderish...

As for One's art...  He needs work, but his story is what counts, that's what I come for, not the art.  if I want art, I look at the remake, which is honestly insane.....

Idk if there are many artists better than that one, but I don't think I've seen it (maybe a few, but his stuff is sooo detailed).

But saitamatrio would be way too overkill already also

That's the point. She's suppose to be bratty and goofy, not a sex object for lolicons.

Finally had time to finish the anime. Tatsumaki is so cute in it. ONE's art makes her look kinda ugly, but both Murata and the anime really made her adorable. This will be funny to see animated.

which chapter is last chapter of re-draw version ? (sorry for bad english )

The re-draw version began an arc which is not in this original version (47th punch to at least 57th).

Aside from that, this version's chapter 52 corresponds to the 46th punch of the re-draw.

which chapter is last chapter of re-draw version ? (sorry for bad english )

I need my fix, but probably no new chapter for at least a few more weeks.
