That rushed ending.... bah. I wanted more of Futaba's development as a mangaka, and of course her getting together with you-know-who. Otherwise, this was a nice little series.

Esto ha terminado demasiado de repente...¿seguro que no fue cancelada?

n.n :'v

Thx for translating this so quickly, that was a decent read and i think this is the first Josei manga i read lol

In a way I don't mind the time skip . . . but it was all so compressed.

Yeah I would've liked 1-2 more chapters of her being Orange, and 1 more chapter showing them get together at least

Oh, wow, thanks for the random disappointing time-skip.

Just like in the story, this manga totally got canceled too, didn't it. Sigh.

I keep wondering what her stuff is like.  Is she still kind of amateurish but getting better?  Is she really good, but suits a narrow band of tastes (there's been some indication that the people who do like her stuff, really like it)?  Does she stereotypically need more life experience to give her material more depth and emotion?  Does she just suck?

My interpretation would be a little bit of all of the above. When she gets fired up ("You just got to draw it!") that seems to draw the best out of her excellent character desgin. From the way her work is received though the trouble seems to be all the context around the people. The repeated emphasis on her trouble with backgrounds inclines me most in that direction, I wouldn't be surprised if she has a general problem blocking out scenes coherently much less juggle a long running plotline, evidently to a degree that even a sharp editor can only do so much (short of telling her to scrap it all and start from the beginning). Of course, if things work out for her maybe this new guy has a plan to leverage her strengths rather than just run damage control like Akimoto seems to have been doing.

The fact that artists all seem to be a soft spot for her work is probably the usual artist thing where they can't help but appreciate skill at a specific aspect.

I like the typesetting!

Good point.  I've gotten so spoiled by scanlators that I kind of forget while I'm reading that it wasn't originally that way . . . but that was really nicely done.

I love this manga, it's so good~

Futaba is kind of hopeless but still a really likeable heroine! Akimoto just being a guy with his own history and not the company owner's hot rich son or whatever is nice too

A heart-pounding confession!

it became more of a throbing confession

well, she just has bad luck, doesn't she? (lmao wonder if the overseas readers of her scanlated works like it)

Thanks for the new chapters!  I'm curious to see the other side of this story.

Looks like I stumbled across a nice one today! Latest development aside, this is a really refreshing read. I love its realistic slice-of-life feel. A big thanks to Lovely Strange Dark for picking it up.

Karen is the best character so far.

He did what?!

or maybe you're just jealous

Really nice developments! :D
GOODAH GOODAH!!!

Reminds me of EG maker tbh

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice~
