that reminded me so much of the scene in DBZ when Gohan beats Cell. So cool it brings a tear to my eye.
Also this translator seems really thorough, great job.

I'm so glad we had this time together :).  Yes everybody the final chapter and the end of the story.  This chapter includes  chapter 10, the final interlude and Toni's alternate takes on some previous pages.  It was a fun ride and a fun read.  I hope you've all enjoyed this as much as I have.  My prime reason for doing this was because I wanted to read this story, as simple as that.  For years I've played and finished games and then wanted more.  To see the game story from a different perspective, or just to relive it.  I was vaguely aware that most of these games might have mangas available for them, but had no way of accessing them until now.  Either through commercially licensed books or scanlations they become more and more available, mostly.

There will always be those games, books, mangas, or comics that will always be missed or overlooked, or even outright ignored.  I think these ones deserve some consideration for those of us who care about them.  Consider this my way of sharing a bit of that fun and consideration.  Thanks, Toni, to the fans, and the readers. Enjoy.

Makes one wonder if they had anti tank sniper rifles equipped surely they would have worked right?!

For Valkyria 3, there's two: Akai Unmei no Ikusa Otome and Na mo Naki Chikai no Hana.

And while I'm here, for Valkyria 2 there's Soukou no Aliasse, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and Our Only Days.

I actually have the two VC2 mangas, both are 2 volume series.  I have no plans to do them for now.  Maybe later in the year if Toni or some other translator is available.

There might be, though I haven't tried to look for it.  I ran across the one for 2 by accident.  I was pretty sure no would touch it so I decided to take a shot at it.  I never played 3, because I don't have access to it, so I don't have as strong a feeling about it.  Check Amazon Japan, which is where I got this one from.

Hang in there guys, it's almost over.  Ch. 9 the beginning of the final battle.  The beginning of this chapter has an interesting little conversation between some of the cast of the original game discussing the current events and the possible future of their country.  Some more fan service for those of you who missed seeing them.   This chapter and the next one concludes the final boss battle and the aftermath for this manga.  Enjoy.

Here we go guys.  Ch. 8, the Hot Springs episode, seriously.  Unfortunately this was not a part of the original games story (darn it), conversely, the pool story in Vol. 1 actually did happen in the game.  In fact, it's almost a direct lift from the games story with just some minor alterations.  While it is fanservicey (what's wrong with that :) ), it actually does tie into the story's plot.  You get to see the true story of Magari.  Be prepared for cuteness and tragedy.  Enjoy.

Thanks for keeping a steady phase in updates. I love VC series. Completed the 1st one via steam and downloaded the 2nd one and completed it a week ago. Its a huge vast improvement compared to the 1st one.  Will be playing the 3rd one soon

Funny you say that zeri

I guess he meant it'd be really ironic if it were to happen considering how they are both considered enemies of each other

I'm back, bearing gifts.  Ch. 7 for your viewing pleasure, the aftermath.  I've mentioned before that Juliana was not one of my favorite characters in the game, mostly because she was so one dimensionally presented.  Here in her swansong, she gets her last bit good, needed development.  Now, I actually feel something for her.  Much better.  Events will move fast in these last few chapters.  The story will end on a surprising note, for those of you familiar with the game story.  You'll see.  In the meantime have fun.

The end is coming! (This only ran for 2 volumes and VC3 takes place between VC1 and 2 so don't bother asking for that if you want a proper conclusion)

That said, this whole manga seems like someone at Sega realized "The story for the game sucked! Retcon the whole thing!"

oh man this makes me remeber what happend to Julianna. Also reminds me of how annyoing i kinda found that mission

OMG! This is so nostalgic! I remember re-playing the three games in 2014! XD I want an anime for the 2nd game.

Hi guys, I'm back.  I'm bringing in Vol. 2 of Ali and Magari's story for your viewing pleasure.  Picking up where the Vol. 1 cliffhanger left off the story pretty much follows the game with some interesting changes.  Enjoy.  I'll be posting the last few chapters in the coming days.  Since this is only 2 volumes, we get a conclusive end to this manga, thank goodness.  It won't die on the vine the way some attempts with other mangas of their nature have in the past (I hate when that happens).  If I ever do anything like this in the future, I will endeavour to finish that project, Promise.  Now, enjoy.

Nice to see that Aliasse might get some character development.  She had the least development of all the valkyria in the series.

At Last!  At Last!  With these uploads we finish volume 1 of Ali and Magari's story.  Technically chapter 5 is the last chapter of the main story, however the manga also includes two little funny interludes that take place concurrently in the main story.  They're a nice change of pace and, for those of you who actually paid attention the story, they throw some of the lesser characters in a new light.  Have fun and let me know what you think.

BTW, on a side note, if any of you are interested, checkout ehentai and do a search for Oppalkyria.  Toni and I are responsible fot that one too.  A bit of a rarity for the.....adult fans.

I'm too good to you guys :).   I'll keep you posted on the progress of volume 2 as it develops.  Later.

You Sir, deserves a standing ovation! There's not enough words on my vocabluray to express my gratitude!

@wpierre3 Thanks a million man, I made an account to tell ya how glad I am someone translated this manga.  I do wish the focus on Aliasse was stronger and away from avan at the very least.  However Once you get this manga out the way would you look into translating the other VC2 mangas?

Actually I thought the focus was mostly on Aliasse and Magari.  The big three (Avan, Zeri, and Cosette) are still germaine to the main plot and can't really be done away with entirely.  Besides, I kinda like them (yes even Avan).  Don't worry the focus is still heavily on Aliasse and Magari.

I actually do have at least two more VC2 mangas.  One called "Our Only Days" and another which I don't have a translation for.  I actually considered doing at least one of them, but the one we're currently doing is taking a bit of time, and Toni is backed up.  After we finish this I'll consider it again, but for now it's kinda up in the air.

Aliasse was the only good thing in that shitfest of a game.

Marion was nice too I guess.

I loved both of them especially marion and I'd have hoped she would have had a manga as well since a story about her could've been very interesting.

To me the game wasn't that bad, people were just expecting the story to be more like VC1 which being a sequel it really couldn't.  The academy was officially part of VC1 so it makes sense to touch on that part, the problem isn't the characters alone, they just didn't use the tropes correctly.

If you look at VC1 they have tropes as well but along with the settings they are handled correctly.  Highschool tropes are also not the problem or else persona 3 and 4 wouldn't be popular in the west and east.

It is possible to skip VC2 without missing anything?

Story-wise? Yeah. Timeline-wise, VC2 is the last game in the series so you won't miss anything. Gameplay-wise, you'll miss the worst class system of the series.

And here we are chapters 3 and 4.  Read 'em and weep :).  This puts us halfway through volume 1  and things are picking up.  Those of you who have played the game from beginning to end will notice that this does follow the games story (for those who hated it, sorry guys.  You work with what's available), of course it's told from an entirely different perspective (Magari and Aliasse, how's that for an odd couple), which should make it a little more interesting.  One thing I like about this particular viewpoint is the way Julianna is handled.

The games story portrayed Julianna in a very bad light (I know she was supposed to be tsundere, but a racist tsundere is a bad combo and honestly leaves a bitter taste behind and of course is my least favorite character).  In the manga she gets some much needed development and a bit of softening (very badly needed).  Because of this my opinion of her went up a bit.  What do you think?

Three more chapters to go and that closes out volume 1.  We'll hit up volume 2 soonest.  Later.
