Ayane Shionomiya never makes an error. Except when she does, then she almost dies.

come here because of that cover @@

You fucking know it

What was the name of the girl with the eyepatch? I didn't catch her name

Edited: Nevermind her name is Olga

Spoiler

isn't that what she's doing all through chapter 10 thought? making holes in empty space?

Nope. You didn't pay attention when the power was explained.

Seems like she can open it anywhere, but the other end of hole needs to be on a solid surface. So she couldnt open a hole to block a bullet. And even if she did, there's a risk that bullet would hit her.

That is correct

There is a hole proximal to her and a remote hole, which can be anywhere, but it has to be on a solid surface. She opens the proximal hole right next to herself. So she could in theory suck a bullet shot at wall and let it come out from a hole in the air near her to hit someone, but she can't suck up a bullet by opening a hole in front of someone's gun, unless that person is right next to her. Intercepting a bullet is obviously impossible the only way to stop it is if she is near the gun when it fires.

In C11 she is shown to have a second power. She can open two remote holes as long as they are both on a solid surface, but that makes perfect sense. That is why she was able to drop the steel pipes on her opponent and make the wrench she dodged come back and hit her from the side.

The whole point of this manga is the outrageous solutions she comes up with, which is quite good and rather unpredictable. The story is not very good and her obsession with her papa is both disturbing and extremely annoying.

Seems like this authors only strength is putting together those checkmates.

Also she is not a genius in general. This is quite clear. She is only a genius chess player. That is it. She is basically an expert tactician, rather than a person of very high overall intelligence.

First of all: you used deus ex machina wrong. The term you meant is "asspull".

Though i mostly agree. Thats an usual problem in series with genius characters: Characters can only be as smart as the author. They simply cant construct plotline and strategy befitting a genius, therefore it inevitably turns into an asspull.

However, in this respect i would rate this manga highly since the genius part isnt overexaggerated. Even though she's smart and calculating, she makes mistakes (yes, i know the title of the manga, but thats obviously intentional). She isn't an absolute genius(she tries though) or a Mary Sue. She doesnt have a sure-fire way to handle situations. She struggles to find openings and opportunities to turn the combat around. I think as a character Ayane is very well written.

But again, asspulls ruin the whole manga. I think there's a huge amount of wasted potential. If it were constructed better, this manga would be one of my favorites.

It would be much better if the author is consistent in depicting her intelegence's level, She is only a genius when she's about to win in a fight, while on everything else she is stupid. It doesn't take a genius to know that when doing investigations cops will monitor criminal's closest person, she just blatantly goes to her friend like an idiot that never even considering a simple fact that her act is dangerous for her friend and in the end pulling her into trouble, In other series like boku dake ga inai machi which have similar plotline it feels more believable since the MC there is consistent that he is an ordinary guy who makes a lot of mistakes and never suddenly become a genius on the author's demands like this series. When he screwed up, things go real bad, while with Ayane when she screwed up the author says "no that's not a screw up that's an elaborate level of genius planning that will make her win somehow".

Oh and that the title "Shionomiya Ayane wa Machigaenai" is a funny irony with the fact that she will always screw up and making mistakes when it is not related to battle.

At first I read this back then because the art is quite good but forgot about it after 2 chapters and now I'm resuming it and realize that the story is really bad, ayane is depicted as genius and calculating on the expositions but in reality she act like brat that can't stay calm even for a second and do many thoughtless acts, doing something without thinking until the author bailed her out with adding deus ex machina reason to make her won somehow,

the angles of this fight sure does "intense"

Can't do that. She can only open holes in cracks, which basically means on surfaces. She can't open a hole in air or in an empty space.

isn't that what she's doing all through chapter 10 thought? making holes in empty space?

And there was an easy way of preventing the bullet from reaching her, too.

Spoiler
though keeping her friend safe after that is still the issue.

>Saw your friend kidnapped, but not harmed
>Didn't take your time to do a planning before charging in, resulting in your lost
>Claim you never make an error

ffs, Ayane...

though it might turn out better next chapter, tho

It's honestly not that much of a surprise that this isn't going far. The author keeps killing characters for no real reason than to kill them and the story isn't exactly great either.

This is surprisingly good o.o. Will continue 2read.

Sometimes they do especially when the crime escalated into international problem.
Mostly done in the shadows, so public are hardly knows about this.

Is that so, I didn't know that.

Some of the bubbles on page 21 are in the wrong order.

Noted, thanks for the heads up! v2 should be up now with the corrections.

i really love how the artist draw dem thighs

I don't think that interpol is doing any investigation, aren't they just sharing information about international criminals between countries ?
