Oho, points for happy-go-lucky dude. It was kind of sad seeing him just spew off all this dark family history stuff without even batting an eyelash. That kid's surprisingly tough. And he can tell whenever Astel's lying but still goes along with it ogfmhkjdnhk this kid

And god Astel's past--that's dark. And I like how even in the face of all this blinding camaraderie and whatnot, he still refuses to reveal his real motives. I think that, judging from what we've seen from his past, it's for both his sake and their's.

Thank you for the chapter!!

Thanks for the update!

I hope this doesn't get sidetracked into them investigating dumb school mysteries every chapter, because I can't stand that perky guy.

I have no idea what's going on, but the mc and the sister is pretty qt so I keep reading it anyways.

I'm on page 14 currently in ch.2, so I am going to write a prediction now before any possible reveal.

Kimochi warui.

just because he couldn't be bothered to go help himself.

It's more like he knew that they couldn't be fast enough. Remember, he is terrible at exercising.

So basically this is the story of Gauss, manga edition.

My one qualm is that the character on the cover looks nothing like what he does in the actual story. Why so serious and mature? This is the same guy that threw a can to break a statue of their reverently worshiped religious figures, admittedly one slated for destruction, in a time where the church reigns supreme as a world power, just because he couldn't be bothered to go help himself.

Apathy. Laziness. He seems more mischievous than mature, though he does admittedly achieve good results.

Actually, based on this chapter it seems that his frivolous nature is all an act. The fact that he thought to throw the can to break the statue instead of charging in like the other guy shows he's rather cunning and calculating (in a good way). Also, it was clear that the other guy wouldn't make it in time (it was said so, plus he did arrive when everything was all over), so the MC's solution was probably for the best.

Remember, the rule of anime is cool characters and attributes first, then plot.

there should be fan service just to get viewers as well in the rules as well before plot.

This is supposed to be about astronomy, and yet there's a guy who can nearly instantaneously calculate wind speeds, trajectory, the approximate force required to propel a can across long distances, possibly over a hundred metres, and accurately his his target. There also seems to be a huge focus on the nobility and its apparent propensity to abuse others. It's a renowned academy about astronomy, but it seems almost identical to lots of other medieval-esque academy/highschool stories.

Somehow, I'm perfectly fine with this.
