I love how people are dying here more often lol.

A chapter has passed and the dead lady is still naked? CLOTHE THE GIRL.

While the quantum physics aspect of volume 9 were interesting, the concept is something I've heard about before so I while it was enjoyable, I wasn't blown away by it. It doesn't involve quantum physics but, the idea of "seeding" an area (the world) with a series of interconnected routers (Sisters) in order to create an interconnected wireless web of connections (AIM fields) is not new or science fiction. Its simply a matter of powering them (are there really that many scientific facilities in the To Aru universe?) and range (quantum physics).

Precisely. You said it yourself. Interesting and enjoyable. :) And it is the mix of that with the story and characters that brought it out. By itself, I still love it, but the way it was mixed in with the psychology and world-building aspects were what took it for me. And again, this in comparison to other shit developments in general harem, so of course it is good.

I think others have explained the latter points well enough so I'll just address the first bit.

Volume 9 wasn't really 'incredible' but it had a lot of the intricacy I love in the series. I suppose you need to be a quantum-logic nut like me to enjoy it though. I personally despise high school harem redundancy so vol 9 was definitely better than some others. The later volumes however... while they were emotional as heck, they weren't as complex. But I still enjoyed them so....

Too short. Chapters are too damn short.

Thanks for the scans!

Thanks for the update!

well that chapter wasnt very eventful. @@

Remember, the Sisters share the experiences of every member that died, and after 19,999 losses the final Sister was estimated to be as strong as the top Level 5, namely Accelerator.  While the clones can only reach Level 3 in ability (though I think I remember 1 single clone reaching Level 4), they could make use of other skills/experience to fill in that gap and fight the strongest Esper on equal footing.

.

Except the Level 6 project was bullshit. It was nothing more than a cover for the global esper waves project (I can't remember the name or if it had one at all). Look at it this way, what if the Level 6 project WORKED? Then what? A superpowered Accelerator who gets pummeled by magicians because esper powers and magic don't work against each other right (and vice versa).

In the context of volume 5(?) of the original series, the Level 6 project/Sisters Project was a massive plothole. It eventually got explained and expanded upon, but at the time? It made no sense whatsoever.

Was volume 9 of NT that incredible? Or am I misremembering things?

Personally, I always though the Sisters Project was wonky/had blatantly unexplained plotholes/I must've missed some details (why stop at 20,000? Haven't they ever heard of redundancy? Why not clone other stuff? If they can be reprogrammed with a virus to go berserk, what ELSE can they be programmed to do?).

I think others have explained the latter points well enough so I'll just address the first bit.

because in reality an arachind robot would be more stable and easier to make than a 4 legged thing. Don't get me wrong they have made a 4 legged 'mule' but it still has issues.

Also just so you know, the first 'hobby walking robots' where arachind. so it could be they where basing it off the first kind.

Also do you really want them to make a super mecha horse, because it's powers will be superspeed. and would be bladed etc etc etc. Also Zoids already did the 'other animals as robots' thing.

Sorry I missed this.

While that reasoning can be all right and peachy, that still doesn't excuse over-use.

Spoiler

I find it increasingly weird nobody has pointed out that the robot looks exactly like Metal Gear REX.

The single clone who is level 4 is actually from a different experiment, named 3rd season, and is know as misaka WORST, kinda like the entire anger, hatred, and the sum of the misaka networks negative feelings personification, if im not misremembering.

Spoiler

come to think of it, we don't know how much yomikawa knows about the sisters. she knows of special sisters but doesn't seem to know they are clones. She gets to meet a normal sister this time too.

Brace yourself Winte... I mean Accelerator is coming!

And why Railgun was chosen to be cloned rather than the others was her power made it possible for the clones to communicate telepathically, via Radio Noise.  Their identical brainwaves in conjunction with their AIM fields gave rise to the Misaka Network.  Their telepathic link and sharing of experiences was necessary to build a super soldier.  20k was merely the number determined by the Tree Diagram (a CPU powerful enough to predict the weather) to be the necessary amount.

If they pushed that number even further, they could create a Sister even stronger than Level 5, though a Level 6 Accelerator was considered to be invincible/omnipotent so it wasn't necessary.

Espers vs. Magicians. Awesome!!!

Wait, isn't this really bad?

Though you have to admit, it WAS their main plan for reaching Lvl.6, which they were positive would work. Meaning that the Sisters Project was the most advanced experiment conducted by Academy City, so makes sense that people still want to utilize the technological possibilities of it. I mean, even the hardcore readers were rendered dumbfounded by the Network revelation in NT Volume 9. So I would say it is understandable for the Science side to be so obsessed with it even if it getting old for the viewers.

Alright, is every (subjectively) evil plan based around the network?  Train Accelerator, steal mind-control powers, force a lvl five to a lvl six, and now this.

Seriously, it's like Team Rocket and Pikachu at this point.

The network is like PtP, so more users can mean faster download.

Even Ars Magna became a reality by using many subjects, rather than an impossibility for a single mortal individual.

didn't know that there was a manga based around accelerator...since i haven't seen the series since the second anime aired(i fail i know) And its awesome so far?! I also really love the drawing style compared to the original! especially accelerator(although i like this and the original drawing of him equally xD)

insta followed~

Last page, "acedy city's darkness is aiming for the sisters"

Of course they are, every bad guy is aiming for the sisters

We're getting too little Accelerator in Accelerator's manga. We need more edgy sociopathy

The network is also pretty damn useful and cost a lot of time & resources to made,so it's probably easier for any aspiring bad guys to just try to get access to it than try to find or create another doomsday weapon for your own evil plot.

Kind of like if there's a nuke silo in your town-every local evil gang would based their plot on it in some way or another.

Animate this now! Anti-Skill getting torn to pieces.

I see your inner Sadist has awakened, OH&S.

Well...considering that the Network is kind of a center-piece for Aleister's main plan, I'm not really surprised considering how important the Misaka Network is.

Fukou da should be the sisters catchphrase.

Am a bit uncomfortable with the possible retcons.

What retcons? It just happened to be off-panel before.

Trust Uiharu. She knows all the canon answers.
