Haha I get the feeling that even the author has no idea who the main betrayer is. So I'm just not gonna pay attention to plot consistency from this point on! Keep the retcons coming!

From what I recall from the authors other works, he is very good at setting up mysteries or 'games' and having an unstable character bamboozle everyone else in a clever way through some loophole or trick.  However, he's not too good at consistency or overarching stories/ideas.

Basically he makes very awesome and hype short arcs, but when you look at the big picture you're like "wait, wtf?"  I of course can't claim to know what the author thinks or does, but I get the impression that he writes the story one arc at a time without an outline or plan for the whole thing, so if he decides to change a character or story in some way it comes across as jarring because he didn't set it up because he didn't actually plan for it to happen.

tl;dr: author is not very good at consistency, and plot twists in overarching storylines or character stories come across as without set up or sudden retcons

Those last pages always crack me up.

Lol obviously he did.
One mistake from admin, they said you won't get water if you are single.
You'll die (or atleast in very bad condition) if you don't drink for three days
But look at that girl, She look so fine

I don't think that means anything. She might have had a different "challenge" or maybe she stole all the water and let her "friends" die. Additionally, the only reason they had to wait in the cave was because the next game needed more prep time (probably waiting for the enemy group to finish their games). She could very well have just finished her game a few minutes before she appeared.

Let me guess, Tenji and Yuichi already found out (or guess it ou) about team K's tactic ??
Well it's not that impressive tactic especialy if they has number advantages like that.

So they made a secret code : If they found out about Tenji's betrayal then team K is executing their tactic.
Since Yuichi can't brung food, Tenji must hold it longer

Am I an awful person for laughing at Tenji's expression in that last page?

no, i laughed too

It's probably because... there are different games.  In that one side chapter, that one guy and his friends were playing some rock-paper-scissors game, instead of the one our MC and his friends played.  No mystery here.

The game not always that same. Look at that Ken-chan omake, They played totaly different game.
So Tenji hasn't play this hide n seek game yet
Also about the K team leader. He could has supernatural eyes or just gimmick

I hope he has supernatural eyes

About the same/diff game thing, I think I was influenced(?) by the future chapters where (slight spoilers)

Spoiler

and Tenji looked pretty ragged at the end of game three (similar to how he looked at the start of present game three), which made me think that past Tenji had the same game three as present Tenji...

Yeah the thought of them having different games did cross my mind but I didn't dwell too long on it, my bad haha

Like he didn't know she was an admin spy.

Lol obviously he did.

Inb4 he wastes all the food and water, calls everyone on the other team and says "give up or we'll starve/thirst to death".

Like he didn't know she was an admin spy.

Hm, well in case the guy/team who's doing this reads this comment.  Regarding how come Tenji has so many questions even though he's played to the 3rd round:

No more debusen? Is that all ?

i see wat u did ther

Yeah, that was all for debusen. Wish it had more chapters uncovering all the characters' pasts and stuff

on unrelated question

No more debusen? Is that all ?

Cover design/Book inside formatting is obviously from the same designer of Debusen, but the artist/writer isn't. So it's got nothing to do with Debusen...(Except maybe the translator working on! what a coincidence!)

This manga kept popping recently in the daily updates so I'd thought to check it out... and I was greeted with a scene of a passionate kiss.

Starting from the first chapter, I've realized that I've tried to pick it up before around 3-4 years ago but the first volume was so terrible(pretty static / stale, there just wasn't enough suspension of disbelief to kept me going on) and the arc only turned to be better once it went thru gay guy's perspective simply and it became hilarious from then on, I hope that there's more of these "serious" comedy moments coupled with serious scenes, it works very well. Mind games quality are not as good as Liar Game/Alice in Borderland but it's still somewhat entertaining in its own and I don't know any more mind games mangas. There's plenty of things that doesn't make sense but please keep translating it :<!

Still unconvinced that gay guy isn't gay because he enjoyed torturing what's-his-name rich boy and said that he was cute wahahaha.

I won't expect much from this writer after finishing 3 of his works and they all turned out to be a disappointing mess after such a good premise/pacing at the start(while this one is the...opposite??), albeit they still have entertaining moments in their own right. It's actually rarer to find a good author that doesn't mess up endings.

Lol at the people getting mad over their waifu Shiho being evil and taking it out on the author.

Remember the manga's title: bros over hoes game.

Haha I get the feeling that even the author has no idea who the main betrayer is. So I'm just not gonna pay attention to plot consistency from this point on! Keep the retcons coming!

Does Shinigami-sama ni Saigo no Onegai wo ring a bell?

Still mad

Although I don't care about the aggression on each side, I think you are wrong.

The facts in hand are:

#1. The main character admitted to being a murderer. Yes, the main character is trustworthy - like you said and the organisation also testified to that. Both sides are telling the same story - there is no room for doubt. He explicitly admits and doesn't deny it, so whether you find the organisation to be suspicious or not is irrelevant.

#2. Shiho is doing what you said (she seems like the closest to him anyway?) and wants him to explain himself before judging him. So I don't see the problem there? Most people are upset she's being set up as the villain, but plot twists like that aren't just randomly thought up on the spot. It was likely a plan - however, maybe the hints prior weren't good. In that sense, the upset is justified?

#3. "Going to hell for them" is the nicest way of putting it and might be the reality, however he did blatantly say he's going to one: take down the organisation alone and two: his friends are dead weight and get in the way.

I can understand why people are upset and maybe the way the characters friends reacted to the revel was unrealistic (I can't say. There aren't any empirical studies on the psychological affects of being friends or in love with a murderer?) But to call it out as bad writing is questionable.

1st, do you know what is the fun when you are an author writing psychological genre?

Spoiler
And my point about the organization is the COUNTER the one I replied to, he said that the mascot NEVER lies.
2nd, how about another theory here?

3rd, same pt as 2nd.

P/S: feeding you a part of the truth with the intent to make your mind filling in the rest of the "truth" based on your prejudice is considered an act of lying too.
P/S 2: I want to reply to your statement about MC wanting to crush the organization and if he really sees his friends as dead weight, but I don't have evidence, so you can believe it, but be sure to have concrete proof to back that up

Read again first chapter: there are two pages - flashback of MC past.

spoiler for violence - page from chapter 1

You CAN'T HATE MC for this murder.

on unrelated question

No more debusen? Is that all ?

He could became a murderer in the act of self defence. Or in revenge while having a good reason (for example, someone killed his parents or raped his sister etc.). Since he did it as a child, he could be unable to tell what he was doing - there are cases of children shooting a gun their parents left carelessly. If I were his friend, I wouldn't decide that he is a monster while I know nothing about his reasons, still, I would be wary of him.

So? How do you know that what MC said is 100% real, when he lied lots of times to save his friends' ass? And how much of the truth is within his confession, when he just chooses to go to hell in his friend's place? And how the fck can you automatically believe in the mascot, where is it "proven"? Would you trust THAT bunch of suspicious ppl instead of the friend that helped you until the end?
At least, MC is more trustworthy, not 100% but more than the mascot, and of course more than you. Try to pick up a reason to argue with me BEFORE disregarding my post completely with your "this post is completely nonsense)

Spoiler

Oh, just read ch12, now tell me how trustworthy the organization again, when they seem to have the power to silence ppl (pretty close to dictatorship now)

Thank you so fucking much fo r these updates!!!!

What? This post is complete nonsense, MC confessed to it himself, and never even attempted to deny any of it. Why would he lie about killing people? In addition, it's repeatedly been proven that the mascot had never lies about any of their papers, why would he start then? It's like you and the people liking your post haven't even read the manga.

Does this revelation make any sense with Tenji's internal monologue in the previous chapters?

none whatsoever.
