Mixed feelings about chapter 57, because I think it's one of the only romances in this series that has actually been shut down, but it's a necessary thing to say.

Dude is dense, but is an actual adult and respect to him I guess.

Katori is the One Punch Man of love.

You definitions of correct and mine differ. From the start, translations are a fickle business, as there are many ways in which to interpret, localize or revise a line written in it's original Japanese.

However, what I look for in a translation, as many others, is that is it mostly correct, flows legibly, and understandable most of the time. This translation passes the eye test and while it might not be 100% correct to the letter, I (along with others, obviously) still derive enjoyment out of reading it. Considering this is a 4Koma love comedy, i feel like the translations not being perfect is excusable due to the nature of the material.

Heleleo, on behalf of of many others, I want to support what you're doing - this exactly represents my sentiments about the nature of translations.

Even professional translators (for example, think translators for diplomats during world events) do something similar for their audience (the country delegates). They translate the gist of things to get a translation in the interim (during the event), but some time later, a proper translation can be made in written form if necessary.

I think it's reasonable and logical for this interim typesetting to exist for the convenience of us readers here on Batoto and to the readers from 4chan and Reddit or wherever, with full disclosure that they are not perfect and that there is room for improvement some time in the future.

So the arrangement proposed to entirely replace these interim translations and typesetted scanlations with higher quality versions by Xplosivv/Irru and Tsurezure Scans (TZS) later is entirely reasonable to prevent duplication. The fact that Heleleo is uploading these interim scans is an independent event to TZS' own upload plans - TZS would not have had any credit for these scans until they uploaded scanlations themselves with or without the interim scanlation.

Well, i though my two hands in enough to do facepalms for lifetime... and this manga proves me at least 100.1% wrong, specially after reading ch.60...

And for ch.57.... i dont know what to say ._.

Well that was the heaviest chapter for sure.

How do I read this? ._.

I made a post before so I'll just repaste it again here

The other serialization is Wakabayashi 4 koma (ie. web order). Volume 1 of this is the first 17 chapters of the other one. Volumes 2 & 3 then mix the pixiv order up so I'll try to recreate it here using Tsurezure Children order:

Volume 2: 18 -> 19 -> 20 -> Love Comedy (21) -> You are Shining (22) -> Dictatorship (23) -> Siren (24) -> We don't need women (25) -> 26 -> Childhood friend (27) -> Bruised Angel (28) -> Re: (29) -> Watching you from Afar (30) -> Friction (31) -> 32

Volume 3: Girlfriend (33) -> I will ask you questions (34) -> 35 -> 36 -> Practice (37) -> Excited (38) -> 39 -> 40 -> Let me hear it (41) -> Making your kouhai cry (42) -> Unsentimental (43) -> 44 -> 45

Then follow this page from here on out

How do I read this? ._.

I would suggest reading what's available at the other series, http://bato.to/comic/_/comics/wakabayashi-toshiya%E2%80%99s-4-koma-collection-r9820 , first. Then looking at the forum posts about relationships to follow your favorite couples or just move over to reading this series. Consider this series a sequel to the other one.

How do I read this? ._.

Heleleo DID NOTHING WRONG

Too many alphas for today.

So uhh... basically this:

We going dragonball now guys

What.. that love power scene almost made this manga banned from extreme indecency

LOVE will destroy the world.

Literally noone is so busy that they cannot answer a message. If you really must know, I get a notification for every comment, and I approve each one of them.

I have no gripe with the translator because he didn't typeset it. And you know as well as I do that people rarely come back for revised scans.

But indeed, I cannot stop you, so do what you must. I am merely wondering how one is willingly typesetting translations that you know are not correct. But again, that's just my opinion.

I, as the credits page I use explains,  am simply just bored and I enjoy reading the series enough to forgive a mis-translation of a line here and there.

Also, you care far too much about how many people read the scans if you are bringing up the lack of people who come back for revised scans. Those who care, will. Those who don't, won't. I personally, especially with these kinds of series, tend to re read often, so I would have no problems rereading a 6 page chapter when it comes out in HQ.

The latest improved version is the one new readers of the series will see.

I would re-read and archive the improved one tbh

Not every person interested in scanlation has the luxury of waiting for a response from a group, especially when it requires one to comment on a blog page and hope that they'll get a response within the next hour or so. Like you say, real life and all that.

Again, your issues with the TRANSLATION need to be brought up with the TRANSLATOR. All I did was take whats out there, that people were already reading, and typeset them. And you can claim that this translation is utter garbage, the worst of the worst, etc. However, the translation is still understandable and readable. If you have issue with the translation being posted, then just continue doing what you are doing, and release a translation that is up to your standards to replace this one that has been used.

It's not as if this scanlation in any way impedes the work that you are doing. If you intended to release a version of this series with your translation before I started doing this yesterday, my editing of this should not play a factor in how or when you release it.

She just went Super Saiyan, and then used the Mero Mero Fruit powers of Boa Hancock! XD

Post a comment on our blog to get my attention? I know, it's a ridiculous thought.

Also, I never said I am an official scanlator, where did you even get that idea? What I did say, however, is that I don't like people reading bad translations without them even knowing it.

Ahahaha? Through WHAT method would you suggest? Posting here and waiting ten years for you to respond? The matter of the fact is I went to your site scouring for a IRC link or even a form to apply to help out with the process, but you have NO manner in which I could do so.

And as far as the translations go, while the nuances are far from perfect, I think they do more than a good enough job of helping understanding the context of the series. Are they the best? No. Did anyone ever claim as such? No.

Like I mentioned, if you have this much disdain over the fact that I simply typeset what was already available out there for anyone to view, you should have bitched at the translator as you are bitching at me. All I did was make the current, albeit not professional, translation out there easier to read.

Don't kid yourself, mate. Scanlation is a moral gray area at best, and you are not an "official" group with any sort of licensing for this series. We both are simply just trying to do one thing: bring this series to different demographics. You are still MORE than welcome to release for this series with better translations and higher quality scans. I would be HAPPY to remove the chapters when that becomes the case.

Until then, these are an interim scanlation. Like it or not.

Except he clearly didn't want to. Can't we reach an agreement on things here like "Heleleo would take down a chapter for every HQ chapters + scanlation released by Xplosivv" since he did admit that his was subpar and just an interim until you're able to catch up  ?

I've already agreed to such. Such is the definition of interim. I don't plan to leave up the LQ scans when a better option is available, of course.

I specifically stated that these were in no way an "official" release and were simply interim until you guys were able to catch up. I understand the redraws and translation are of sub par quality, but I never claimed that they were anything more than such.

So? That still doesn't mean the translations are correct.

He could've contacted us if he wanted to help.
