Not even harem protagonists have that level of control over women.

I missed this style of humor so much~ Crude or not, bad taste or not, there's no denying that this manga actually makes me laugh, and not just in the "sharp exhale through nostril" way

Seriously, it's reminds me of the humor of Bobobo-Bobo-Bobo. :D

Holly shit chapter 10 was fucking hilarious i am so glad i had the patience to wait for it.

I can tell he had the time of his life drawing chapter 18, man wonder what happened to burn him down.

Yeah, that's a Raiku Makoto interlude alright.

I legit cracked up at the JJBA reference tho.

America sensei reminds me of Big Boin

I didn't even notice this until I was scrolling through the chapter list. I really want to read it!

And lo!

Seems like ch 10 is missing.

Yeah but theres still chance that he might draw an ending or finishing arc for it some time later since it ended too abruptly and it didnt actually gotten one... he may have burned down but maybe some time later he can light himself up again and reborn like phoenix (or so I hope...) while drawing it

The author say in his webside that he will never write vector ball again

Yeah that was a message that the magazine issued, but they did it on their own.

Raiku himself made a blog saying that he is dropping it, he feels burned down and has no idea what to do with it, he is just not feeling it, he says that forcing himself to keep working on it wont help anyone.

Tried looking at latest chap raws. Technically it is "Season 1" that has ended so maybe theres still chance to revive?

Personally, while Vector Ball does have its share of flaws, the one thing I won't criticise are the battles.

Having followed the raw, without giving away major spoilers, I can say that Kometaki and Vector's 3D printing ability is incredibly versatile and fun. Aside from being a Kiyomaro-esque tactician, they also play the role of alchemist/blacksmith who crafts interesting tools, weapons and armour to make up for a disadvantage in raw firepower.

And this especially shines in team battles. Seeing them with a disposal of materials like metal, rubber, wood, plastic, etc. and using them in different and sometimes absurd mixes is neat.

Not to mention, I like that they have a weakness: long processing times, which then requires their teammates to defend them in order to compensate.

It's a shame that Raiku got burnt out. I do hope he recovers, and if possible, for Vector's ability to appear again in a future work. It's far too neat to just go to waste.

And nothing of value was lost. I'm glad Raiku was able to realize that this wasn't really going anywhere and pulled out before it took up too much of his time.

Ended. Supposedly Makoto ended manga in the middle of latest arc.

Aww balls, this is interesting unique manga mmm...

Dammit! you lie! i refuse to believe this.

Shit it is true...

Anyway, why the jump all the way to chap 16?

Man i fucking love the monster design this series has, another great one by Raiku sensei.

This Author really has this distinct taste of humour... which i found amusing! :D

And Oh God, what a cliff hanger!

I, on the other hand, find this author's humor is extraordinarily juvenile and quite frequently shit (often literally so).

On the other other hand, it seems to work for him. I don't know whether it's a matter of contrasts and juxtapositions, or whether his humor is just so childishly crude that I let my guard down, or whether it's just in spite of all this, but I find what I've read of his series to generally be quite endearing somehow, in a strange and, much as you say, 'distinct' way.

...The humour still makes me cringe, though.
