Spoiler

my bad, i guess it's not uploaded here yet

This series gives me so much life <3

love the latest chapter (both 87.1 and 87.2), Grandma is awesome

Now you've got me curious about the abundance of telephone or rather power poles in Japan. Where I live almost all the urban power lines are underground. I'd assume it's related to the constant tremors? The shakes from an average common earthquake could displace or disconnect the cables of an underground line, while the elevated power lines have a greater give?

There are no earthquakes whatsoever where I live, and all the power/phone lines are on poles too.

Above ground lines are cheaper to set up, and much easier to fix. Although easier to malfunction.

Whatever the reason, changing the whole grid would be unaffordable.

This reminds me of when once while living in a student house, I was the only one to actually cleanse the washing machine drawer out of mold.
My girlfriend was also the only one to grow purple mold out of dried teabags...

Every chapter I read make me wish to give a birth a daughter like her.

I recall the omnipresence of utility poles when I lived in Okinawa.  It was one of the things that stood out to me. That and all the water tanks on the roofs.

I assumed that for some reason less lines could be run underground than where I grew up in the prairie states. And that the poles were so close together in order to hold up when typhoons came in.

Maybe this is just an accurate recreation of where the mangaka is basing the stories.

Grandma is everyone's favorite person. No need for Yousuke.

Page 7(or 8), panel 2: Grandma's all like "keiki* dokidoki"

*keiki means plan.

Awesome Grandma, making Yotsuba clean while wearing cute clothes! *thumbs up*

Uwah ... cleaning is srsbzns.

Spoiler

Grandma is awesome.

Grandma is a badass.

That grandmother got Yotsuba to do useful stuff!!!  She's magic!!!!!

we finally know koiwai-san first name, Grandma, you are the MVP

Nah, it's just Azuma has a habit to draw magnificent utility poles when he feels like it. Or rather, he really loves his perspective (notice all the lines).

OMG!! Yotsuba in apron is so friggin' cute!!

I think he does it to give his assistants more work. Mwahahaha.....

Has this been some kind of in-joke? A utility pole per chapter?

Poor Yousuke.

Reading this chapter in the morning, while the sun shines brightly outside, was very soothing. Yotsubato! is simply the calmative out there.

This is a series we all need to enjoy. Makes you happy as a bird in summer.

That last page got me some chuckle.

Ahh, this series improves your quality of life, I swear.

Even granma agrees Yanda is a pain in the ass

I discovered that "magiclean" mop that grandma uses about 5 or 6 years ago (yeah, I'm a late bloomer). Seriously the best thing since sliced bread!!

Finally. I finally caught up with Yotsuba,

She is so cute, such a child. I can see how she would be considered weird, It seems she acts more like a western child? And apparently she lived far from the city so she doesn't know a lot about parks and stuff.

..."Yousuke"?

Who the fug is that?

That's his name alright. It's Yousuke Koiwai. Aka Yotsuba's dad.
