Talk about redrawn by Author , HiatusXHiatus also redrawn. The Chimera Ant Arc was so bad , it will bleed Your eyes....

One Punch Man by ONE (Original version) is even better >.>

Atleast ONE is a web comic or something(?)

But the draw on HxH Tankoubon , the draw is good.

il_fullxfull.355810552_srct.jpgcomparison+.pngThat's why some manga which get scanlated very fast usually comes from magazine that sometimes have low quality (those magazine paper are shit) papers and that's why some scanlator prefer to rip from tankobon cause tankobon are made with better paper and sometimes feature edit or omake aka extras not available on the magazine

For Youjo Senki, both the magazine and tankoubon "scans" are actually digital, so there are no paper quality issues. The only scan is the BD booklet.

What's funny is that the tankoubon raw is more blurry than Horre_Yuy's magazine raw, which he admitted to be screenshots instead of actual rip (hence the odd 1080*1551 resolution).

Whaaa? Redrawn? What is Tankoubon? Is this by the actual artist of the series? If it's not the actual artist, this guy's got the style down pat. What's the story here?

For comparison.

Easiest explanation

This is how tankobon generally looks like;

Spoiler

Once a certain series on the magazine (example shueisha jump) reach enough chapter they will be compile into smaller book or collection of books call tankobon

Usually redrawn are edit version of old (from the magazine) and finally print on tankobon

Another example (historie manga);

anyone knows where to get the render of the cover like they used in the credit page of the extra?

There isn't one. I stitched

https://twitter.com/yooochika/status/867888123912503296

from the mangaka's twitter and the cover of the latest issue.

"This was evil disguised as a little girl."

Yep. Pretty much sums everything up nicely. And the sad thing is, you kinda root for her.

As long as they don't change the designs of the character in the actual manga then all is good.

Also, they changed it in the anime so that this was the first time they met? I'm not even mad, it's hilarious, I wish they had animated the whole thing.

Hmm? BD, oooooh~, thats why the adjuntant looks like the anime adjuntant

tankoban is basically collector's form - releases collected in volume format, the chapter wasn't redrawn only cleaned - i still see sfx here and there that should've been drawn out and translated, and it is by the same author.

"Redrawn" as in the author redrew those pages for the tankoubon.

Tankoubon is a Volume specially for a specific Manga. While thing like Shounen Jump or the other have like 10 or more title in a Volume.

Shounen Jump have One Piece - Gintama - My Hero Academia - ETC ETC in one book.

If the chapter are sufficient , it will then become a Tankoubon. I'm not good at explaining. Anyway - something like DAT.

What saddens me from the manga is that it shows a time skip 40 years into the future. The Empire lost the war and everyone declares the Empire as evil. I actually think that while Tanya does have a few screw loose, she/he's, to her core person, not a bad person, but just wants to live in peace. Though back to the point. From what the time skip shows, it seems as if any evidence of Tanya ever existing in history was wiped off the face of the planet. Judging from the way the novel and manga is going, I think in the end Tanya is going to die a pathetic death, either on the battle field, or probably alone and in poverty and/or possibly from sickness. I am literally feeling sorry for her.

I hope at the end of this story that there is some form of justice that Tanya can achieve. Just making him/her being screwed over til the very end of the story seems just sad.

If there's no prove that she died, then we can also assume she's alive. She's cunning enough to plan for a fake KIA/MIA if she really want it. That chapter also hinted a lot of false informations or blatant cover up, you need to not take that chapter at face value.

its all good as long as they keep drawing themselves as animals with guns

Hrmm I'm not sold on this Tankoubon version,

I actually think the original chapter with the SD designs has far more character and hilarity to it~

...True. but that medical officer is hot.

Meh. Works both ways for me.

The time skip is in the LN too though.

Having a bit of trouble parsing the misunderstandings this time. I'm going to try writing it out. I think I understand most of it

During meeting, Tanya suggests a spring offensive, General thinks she is being greedy. Don't understand that. Help?

She again downplays her victory, which angers General, not sure why. Help?

I think I got an answer to these two. For the first one, General Rudersdorf thinks Tanya also wants to push his plan for a winter offensive so when she suggest waiting for a spring offensive he's thinking she's saying it to tell them that the norths' plan of a winter offensive is bad and they should either wait till spring or go with the General's winter offensive plan, in his mind he thinks "if you propose something that breaks the suspension of disbelief like waiting till spring they might actually do it instead of going with my plan so dial it back a bit woman."

The second one. The northern General thinks their plan will work out fine as long as she's there and she's saying it won't. His mind is going "she only wants to be in general Rudersdorf plan but not mine so she's making it seem like I'm too incompetent to come up with a good plan."

in kinokuniya, so they're imported english versions printed by the current publisher, Seven Seas. don't think it'll pass the local muslim censors if Gramed wants to print it...don't think they WOULD want to localize it either

been there, kinokuniya jakarta, visiting for my 1st time, saw price, gets out as fast as possible

Please, don't take the troll bait, just read this comment section from the beginning to see all the arguments about the misused term "nazi" in this manga setting that almost started a civil war here.

He can't do that. Much to my dismay, the flame wars seems to have been eliminated.

But really, why people use nazi in a setting that is clearly that of WWI is beyond me. I don't know about people from countries involved in that specific war, but for pretty much everyone I know of other countries, Germany were the heroes of that war. Even though other countries try hard to paint them as villains(history is written by the winners, after all, but frankly, it is does not work for all eternity. Blackwashing can be easily cleaned nowadays, "history" does not lie), you can't be a villain for defending yourself.

Top quality

They actually sell Maou no Hajimekata in Jakarta? lmao

Aren't local translated prints just 1-2 bucks?

Double post. Thought I hit the edit button, not the quote. First time using edit too. Don't know how to erase.
