Or you could just be a person with little hand dexterity and thus no drawing talent who can't draw trees for shit.  If your imagination is lacking then even your symbolic representation of a tree might also suck shit too.

And throughout it all you wouldn't be depressed, but they might think you are.  It's kinda funny actually.

They say a picture's worth a thousand words, but that drawing was priceless.

So a manga is worth....?

Spoiler

And on what basis are you the expert on depression? Depressed people can't have jobs? In JAPAN where office workers and NEETs alike are constantly killing themselves? Your head really is up your ass.

Wait, a succubus with shark teeth? Seems like a design flaw, if you know what I mean.

You're right, it's just a manic pixie dream girl scenario. I mean, here's a summary: A succubus comes to have sex with a guy with depression and takes his condition really seriously. What you don't seem to get is that people aren't looking at it as a deep commentary, they're looking at that last part of my summary and going "huh, this stuff is p. legit"

that drawing took things from 5 to 10000 really fast

Hnnnng that drawing was perfect.

They say a picture's worth a thousand words, but that drawing was priceless.

That drawing's the type people would pay money for and hang on their walls.

The level of dexterity required to draw that level of detail at that size is legendary level.

Everything up to Chapter 7 Page 3: This is a pretty good title, but what else has updated lately?

Chapter 7 Page 4: THIS MANGA IS PERFECT I MUST HAVE MORE

Dear Translator,
you translated the chapter (which is so cool on its own), furthermore you even had time to analyze the MC's picture.
You're awesome!

Hnnnng that drawing was perfect.

How could this turned up into N**ki D*ki's thingy? XD

The way she crumpled in his arms was awfully cute.

Imagine treating an ecchi gag manga as some sort of deep, psychological work about how to address and cure depression.

Urabask called me willfully ignorant and unwilling to learn - after UltimaLuminaire basically said "Agree with me or we have nothing to discuss"(and 15+ people agreed with him). And I'm the willfully ignorant one here?

Then we have the newest chapter, where a new character appears and motivates MMC to actually do soemthing. And already people comment how she's evil and what she's doing doesn't work - even though it actually did work in that very chapter and the guy's now looking for a job.

What the actual fuck is wrong with you people. I mean, being incapable of basic logic is one thing, but to actively deny what you've just read? Because it's at odds with your pre-conceived notion of what the manga is? That's something else.

Lit. No one says "this is a deep and psychological work about how to address and cure depression"

What's goin' on here is that this gag manga about a depressed dude and a succubus seems to be written by someone who has at least a familiarity with depression, if not some experience or actual knowledge. People who have some or all 3 of those same things were commenting on it. Like it or not, anyone trained or knowledgeable about depression will look at what the Angel was doing as exactly what you shouldn't do. Which is why she was introduced, she's an obvious and ironic foil.

no no, it wasn't clear with how I said it but also, your review of the progress between the two was so spot on that I went and gave a like ^^

Thank you for the praise. I'm starting to wonder if the supernatural characters, rather than representations of good and evil, should be viewed as symbolic for that which is either idealized or taboo in Japanese society.

Guys, just ignore whatever pops your veins, its clear the guy doesn't want to be convinced, don't try to convince someone who just takes the piss.

Guys, you need to leave BCS alone. The reason why I said "we've nothing left to discuss," wasn't to diss. It's because I actually have nothing constructive left to add to the argument. This goes for most of the other users responding to BCS because we're keeping up with the fan translation and are pretty much on the same page regarding the manga's handling of the subject. If the other side doesn't attempt to counter the counterpoints, then that is LITERALLY the end of discussion. BCS basically admitted that our points were invalid in the face of romcom tropes still utilized within this manga, thus there is nothing we can add that would ever be valuable in BCS' eyes ever. This means any demand for evidence sent out by BCS won't lead to anything. It was simple truth, but sometimes you need to say it to save everyone time.

Those of us with experience taking care of friends or family, researched clinical depression in college or for self development, and who've read any of the LN or manga referenced in this romance gag manga, can see the counterpoints we've all mentioned to BCS as being selling points in a market rife with non-confrontational attitudes. You can count the number of LN or manga currently running that admit there's a problem at all on one hand, much less show possible solutions that are not only plausible, but have real documentation. Sure, it's not going to change the world, but you know what else? Nothing BCS said demeans this, even if you think what they said does.

Just chill.

Except the whole reason he's depressed is because of excessive work, the succubus told him to quit so he could relax and get the stress out of his system. When depression was more of a problem in my life my counselor told me to do the exact same thing, and it worked out extremely well for me. When something like school or work is causing you extreme mental stress, taking a break from of all of it to let your mind rest is VERY effective. The angel doesn't understand the root of his problems, and encouraging him to go back and work before he's mentally stable enough to do so is foolish.

The manga is an ecchi manga but its also a manga that has clearly had research put into it regarding depression as a mental disorder. Both aspects of it can coexist fine, and have been doing so for every chapter so far.

And you being willfully ignorant is quite true. No matter what anyone says to you on any comment section on any manga that you fucking whine on, you continue prattling on like you're some cool ass guy who thinks he's smarter than everyone. Fuck off with your superiority complex bullshit, we're on the comment section of a fucking manga website and you're acting like you're hot shit? Its fucking pathetic, like I just wanna have some fun in these fucking comments, some discussion of the manga beyond "BUT BUT ITS JUST A LOSER FANTASY," but then your fucking 5head always rears up and just shits up the comments. Get a twitter or something if you want to prattle on about the "losers" of the world.

That's like asking someone with a broken leg to play football. The problem isn't that he's not going to work but that he's too broken to work.

imagine getting smarmy and condescending in the comments section of an ecchi gag manga

Whoaaaaa, that latest translation note.

There's actually an expression in Japanese that exonerates a husband cheating while maintaining a career? F***. HOW? WHY?

Learn something every day.

Some of the things that are ineffective or even downright counterproductive to say to a person with severe depression:

"You can do it"

"Just get over it"

"Others can do it so why can't you?"

"It's all in your head"

"Don't think of yourself as someone not normal"

"You can try harder"

Oh, so the demon's an angel and the angel's a demon

I wouldn't go that far. The demon is just very focused, determined, and diligent. She chose him as her target so she will do what she has to in order to get him up. The angel just doesn't understand  what she's doing.

Oh, so the demon's an angel and the angel's a demon
