Another annoying girl?

It was the same one of the beginning so...

Annoying girl is back?

Another annoying girl?

I like this chapter! I have a desire to learn more about their "world" which includes social circles and whatnot, and this chapter sure delivered some good stuff! I for one am looking forward to more, as always!

Urgh, this is painful to read in several ways.
Hoping this will progress and tie up nicely, but for now let's enjoy the feels train.

"United States of Smash"

Looks like the author is a fan. :D

"United States of Smash"

Haha... called it from Day 1. Not about Itachi, but about Touma. He *reeked* of gayness.

And it's not a triangle. It's a fucking square. Kuze likes Touma, Touma likes Taichi, Taichi likes Kuze and Itachi likes Kuze. No love for Itachi though... :(

But that Touma would be outed by Itachi is understandable. Takes one to know one. Gaydar is a thing.

And what the hell is Kuze thinking? I know she's not that kind of character, but she's leading Taichi on.

thats a circle not a square :P

Some may recognise the references we added to the battle pencils!

please delete this coment, its a clone coment

At first i thought this manga is boring because author previous series(good oneshot bad seies).

But it start interesting.

Why do I have the feeling that Touma is gay for Tai?

Did Tai invent the "crush" of Touma?

I was right from chapter 1.

I'll be that lone here person that supports the straight couples because I've read too many gay manga where the gay couple prevails. [This statement is liable to change depending on how well written the characters are]

No fucking shit. That's like a football manga where the kids play football. Now, tell me how many gay characters actually won a love triangle in a non-BL manga.

It's a true love triangle! None of that A->B B->C C->B bullshit! Huzzah!

And please, y'all who are like "Oh it's yaoi now," like bitch please if you think that the inclusion of someone who likes someone of the same sex makes it yaoi or yuri... Well, I guess the most romance you read is something from a Shounen battle manga where any inclusion of an opposite sex results in cheap love for filler side stories and "they married and had children" epilogues. Any good romance takes more work than an eligible candidate simply existing, you know?

Alternatively, the thirsty fangirls and fanboys who read too much yuri and yaoi that have forgotten how poorly Shounen manga treat their LGBT characters, and never actually let them be happy and mutually in love with someone. Will I hope this subverts that trope? Of course. Though tbh I'm rooting for hamster girl and MC boy as much as I am for MC boy and childhood friend. Hamster girl's friend needs more screen time before I can say anything about that pairing, though she clearly cares about her a lot and that's always a plus

Last thing. I don't want to come off as too passive aggressive in one comment, so I'll straight up say it-- most of y'all don't even read enough shoujo to say that it has too many cliches. Analogy: it would be like you read One Naru Bleach, heard people disparaging isekai and harem manga, and decided fight scenes were lame. Then you thought that these cliches you heard about were prominent in every Shounen, no matter the subgenre. It's incredibly dumb to anyone who has ever read even a moderate amount of Shounen manga. It's the same for Shoujo readers

Just to be clear though, cliches are overused by definition, but don't be like "what is this genre specific cliche bullshit doing in something I did not expect to have attributes of that genre" at every little thing, because it just sounds stupid

OH YES. I knew I picked this up for a reason.

They were kinda foreshadowing that he's gay but didn't expect the girl to be to.

Cliches are everywhere but it's most prominent in Shoujo.

Really?  Harem is a cliche raised to the level of a "genre" in shounen.  I don't think there's any equivalent to that in shoujo.  Sure, nearly all shoujo is ultimately about girl-meets-boy, but at least that's something that actually happens to most people in real life; how many real life harem situations have there ever been?

Then there's "died or something and went to a fantasy world", (what do they call that again?), adventures in a video game . . . if we admit contrived fanservice is a cliche, that's enough to make shounen more cliche than any conceivable competitor right there.

As a side note, contrary to the impression in florent's filk (quite well done actually even if I disagree with it) this is actually less cliched than most shounen so far, and pretty well done.  If it keeps it up (that is, if the editors don't get their filthy hands on it and insist on bringing in new-girl-of-the-month and filler-until-further-notice) it could end up being very good.

Yeah, based on the number of gay characters who got in a relationship with their crush in non-yuri/yaoi manga, anybody can guess their chances are basically zero...

Gay people really have it rough in hetero romances.

So Itachi likes Kuze--->Kuze likes Touma--->Touma likes Taichi--->Taichi likes Kuze(he fell too fast ffs).

This reminds me of a gag manga i read long ago, complete love circle lol

The small hamster everyone needs to protect...

Anyways-

It was all over our faces the whole time!!!!

Check really, really well the cover page!!

Who is looking at who?!

I'll be that lone here person that supports the straight couples because I've read too many gay manga where the gay couple prevails. [This statement is liable to change depending on how well written the characters are]

It always amazes me how people manage to read manga and somehow make themselves think that only shoujo contains cliches.

Cliches are everywhere but it's most prominent in Shoujo. A lot of readers can't embrace those cliches and enjoy them and maybe that's why they stick out.

OH SHIT SON LOOK WHO WAS RIGHT

WAS IT MOTHERFUCKING ONIBARUBARY

I FUCKING THINK IT WAS

*does a gay dance*

Or he's actually in love with Tai and used his sister in law as a scapegoat basically. I wouldn't say this chapter pointed to that too much, as the former is the more likely outcome, but there's enough stuff here that is done that hints at Touma liking Tai. The holding onto him on the train, explaining his type (starting with Tai's height before he changes it and then adds some stuff, says black hair and looks at Tai while pausing before inserting the sister in law's aspects) and such.

Either outcome could make for a decent story. Guess we'll find out!

Holy moly what a tweest
Damn, I've guessed that he is fucking gay, but I never thought that it is true

Hey, all! This chapter marks the end of volume 1 and what we currently have access to. We will release all the volume 1 extras next week (including a 3 page side story) but will need to wait until the release of Volume 2 in August to continue the chapters. Sorry, but hope you've been enjoying the series thus far!
