i couldn't stop smiling every time i finished a chapter. so many feels on every chapter. I'm glad i found this manga. thx for translating.

Country girl beetle is not suited for city decor.  Give her a partially rotten log and she will be in heaven.

Really, here in the southeast US, if you peel the bark off of a log that has been on the ground for a while you are likely to see some of her relatives.

What can we say? When you have a hard body, you need a very soft bed. So there's nothing like soft rotten wood for our carapaces.

Every day with a new chapter is a good day.

Two new chapters in two days is even better.

Ganbatte Rainbeetle girl, don cry and try your best!

Non anthropomorphic beetle girl is best girl.

If it turns out like Made in Abyss, it'll be fine.

It would probably be like David the Gnome, The Secret World of Arrietty, or The Littl' Bits. God help us if we get something like Ferngully. When the best character in an environmental cartoon is the horny pollution elemental, you might have missed the mark a bit...

The Littl' Bits:

i can't help but have reservations about the anime though. it could so easily fuck up this wonderful mixture.

ANIME ADAPTATION ANNOUNCED! OH MY HEART

I'm loving this story. It's so immersive and adorable... Instafollowed.

I want to marry Mikochi. She's such a fine woman.

Beautiful as always... Thank you.

See, if the Lorax had been a dangerous killer instead of a whiner, there would still be Truffula Trees.

let me introduce to you the adorable children" t. author

The last page is really, really dark though.  A terrifying glimpse past the sweetness of the world.

My heart needs a collage of all the images of Hakumei just stuffing her face with food.

I wish I had been part of a children network like that as a kid. Would have scored so much better treats come the autumn candy time.

monkey man and his brother failed 2 damn job
to wake up the passeger and to throw the explosive
10/10 won't hire any monkey man

Sep10Trion,

It's nice that someone remembers the Fuzzies.  I was beginning to worry that I was the only H. Beam Piper fan left!  As to small humanoids being jerks; the Lilliputians from Gulliver's Travels were pretty vindictive and petty.  That said, I'm still loving this manga.  Thanks, #EverydayHeroes Scans.

YOU HAD ONE JOB, MONKEY MAN

ONE JOB

...

yeah, unfortunately human is far from ideal ...

(and lately it seems most human being is getting farther from humanity too)

Whether it's finding a common ground to sustain and thrive, or their closeness with nature, most inchling societies in fiction seem to work together in relative harmony. There's David the Gnome, Littl' Bits, Smurfs, the Borrowers/Arietty, A Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar, Ripple Star in Kirby, the Fuzzies, etcetera. Really, the only one that was malevolent off the top of my head was the Nome king and his subjects in the Oz books (and in Return to Oz), but that's because he was batshit crazy.

I really like this.  It feels like a mixture of Wind in the Willows and Redwall in terms of children's books.  Maybe with a hint of Frog and Toad.

It feels oddly nostalgic as well.   I wonder if I've read any more of this author's work.
