We have to admit it, at least once in our lifes we tried to do a wall jump just because

Once, one of my friends attempted to wall jump off a pillar. He kicked straight through it because it was hollow.

What i find strange about her is the tremendous love for bootlegs.

Also still don't know if that pacman ripoff is real cause they did not mention the name.

All the games are fake.

Damn, Ye Ar Kung Fu, that hit the spot, so nostalgic, used to waste all my coins on this one.

Even today every now and then when I remember I play on M.A.M.E.

I wonder if they will play Rally X.

My one question is how that restaurant owner can even open shop every day.

Maybe most of his business is at suppertime?

Their is a remake version though of heianko alien

So apparently, in this manga, MAME and Roms don't exist.

Why even live?

She looks and feels just like a grown-up Mao from Taiyou no Ie!

>people bitching about feminism in a cute rom-com in Japan, where feminism is weak anyways.

Seriously? Just enjoy the silly people.

Anyways. Clearly this woman has had some SERIOUS issues with romance in the past, with the way she describes the feeling these games instill in her. Not to mention all the ones she seems to want to play have a prince in them. Regardless, this is cute and amusing.

In what context are we talking about feminism?

Is it the "gender-equality" side of feminism (that everyone should support, really), or is it the pro-matriarchal society feminism (that is batshit crazy)?

How long is this trend going to go on, is there going to be a version of every major arcade game with a fighting men and trying to get your prince, theme?  Way to set back feminism.(along with hiding her interests like its something to be ashamed of)

Wow, I read that chapter and thought of posting a comment like this ironically to make fun of stuff like this. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are people who think like this though.

Never understood this old game nostalgia. Sure, it's fine to remember old memories but you have such richer games nowadays that are way more interesting to play (quality and gameplay wise).

While you won't be influenced by space invaders and the like, when you hear music from Donkey Kong Country and Mario 64 you may find yourself with an urge to play those games while simultaneously being reminded about simpler times.  It's the same concept really, it just depends on what games you spent long hours playing when you were a kid.

Changes title to: Lend me 100 while I hear your double meaning jokes.

This one is a neat piece, so much nostalgia.

Thanks for bringing this one up Mugen Shoujo.

Depends on the type of game, I guess.

You know how JRPGs have those random encounters - you're running around the map and suddenly whoosh, it switches to the battle screen - yeah, that just doesn't fit in newer games. In the old days when the hardware was less capable, it was understandable that the map was usually a hand drawn canvas and your character/party was a little sprite. Now you're moving around a highly detailed 3D space, so those whoosh scene switches just don't make any sense to me. I don't think that makes for a richer experience at all. In fact, I'd call it jarring.

It depends on the type of game. something like space invaders or pitfall, that are incredible simple, but you want to see how far you can reach. sometimes, having less leaves more room to imagination,

sometimes, I think some games have way too much stuff, and I just want to play something more simplistic (instead of having a lot of gadgets, driving a car/tank, punching enemies, climbing buildings, discovering hidden things in games like arkham series, I just want to punch stuff in double dragon, even if the game is harder and I suck at it)

its more of appreciation for what it took to create them, remember now you have million dollar studios back then it was maybe 4 guys so any accomplishment was much greater

Well it's all relative, could feminism be set back by any one person considering we are talking about a society concept? Could any movement be set back by any one person who's not involved in it? Maybe just a tiny bit.

Next is Donkey Kong, jumping over men thrown your way as you try to reach your prince at the top?

I wonder if these games are completely invented by author/fictional, probably.

And I wonder who's she crushing on, her boss maybe?

If Feminism can be weakened by a manga of a person who is embarrassed playing games then it must be useless to begin with.
