Oh look, same mangaka as Hatsumei Princess. Maybe I'll read it... *Reads comments* .....Nope. Nevermind.

Though on another note, while I haven't read this, another commenter mentioned that the male lead has been abusive with her her entire life, and then the moment she gets some affection she's ecstatic? That's actually logical. When you love someone who is abusive, you feel as though you can never get their approval, you're never good enough. Then, when you finally do get their approval, you're ecstatic.

Like I said, I haven't read the manga so I don't know if the situation applies, just wanted to toss that in there... *Feels like she's being troll-ish somehow*...

the thing is... there was no sign of her loving him before. All I saw was a girl with a weak personality who was too scared to say no to her sister and (especially) her childhood friend. Their relationship wasn't of friendship, it was that of a bully and his victim. It really pissed me off that she didn't end up with the sweet classmate, he was adorable (actually, he was a tad to perfect, if the story were longer, I would have suspected him to be one of those "wolf in sheep clothing" types)

smh ಠ_ಠ

Omg Gale ur so rigth, this is just so wrong, even when is a manga(what is worst is that happens in rl).
This is literally a romantic story about an abusive relationship. It's not uncommon for love stories of this type to have shades of cruelty and manipulation to them, but to so baldly glorify this kind of violent bully is disgusting. After years of consistently degrading treatment from this boy, the slightest display of affection or kindness from him feels wonderful to her. it's essentially the same process that causes Stockholm Syndrome, and apparently we're supposed to see this as a cute and charming love story about a boy who can't express his feelings? No. This is a nightmare. Bad boys have their charm, and there's nothing wrong with stories that star them, when handled properly. This? It's abuse. Nothing more.

Hell, I'd even say that School Days had a more optimistic ending, because at least then the terrible things the characters did to each other were acknowledged as being terrible. At no point were we expected to say, "Aw, she's so in love, she's willing to kill someone over it! How romantic!" The complete lack of awareness of how unbalanced and dangerous this "love" actually is just makes the whole thing so much worse.
This poor girl. I cannot be happy with this story.
yeah...the main guy's a douche.....
this honestly makes me angry, she is able to forgive years of ruthlessness just because the guy likes her, i mean how could anyone ever like someone that is so childish and petty.
