I must say I didn't expect Isabelle to be a loli-oba

And the other side is desperate to get their hands on it.

Yes... if the other side is so desperate that they would pay so much for them.

If you only sell one marble then you might get that price, although in actual practice selling multiple marbles would cause the value to be lower due to market saturation.

Not if you have a monopol on it like Zenjirou. And the other side is desperate to get their hands on it.

Yeah...super rich...imagine how much ounce of gold is there for one gold coin, i estimated if its base on medieval coin then maybe 14 to 15 ounce per piece...i think its 1 ounce = 1320 usd

so

15 * 1320 = $19,800 per piece

19800 * 30 = $594,000..............per marble...

HOLY SH%t

She looks extremely young here rather than in the LN. If I remember correctly, she was mentioned to be fifety-something years old

Don't know about 50s, but the novel mentioned she was at least past 40. Excerpt:

Spoiler
It's likely she uses "healing magic" on herself, similar to Wolverine's healing factor to keep him looking youthful despite being at a great grandpa-age.

She was described like "middle-aged woman with a bit of plumpness" if we assume that PROzess' LN translation is correct (and there's no reason to think it's incorrect).

But it's manga. Not many series follows LN word by word. Actually most of them are different in many aspects.

Nah, I just have a fetish for middle-aged woman with a bit of plumpness, so I made that part up. *nods*

LOL. Oh god, my sides are killing me. This whole time my image of her was totally different from the manga, thinking they must have made some minor changes in order to use the "what's your secret to your youth" chitchat. Guess the part of the princess having children isn't really relevant to the story, so they must have cut that out.

dang, i have thousand marbles. i will become filthy rich in that country

If they had Industrial Diamonds they could do a bunch of stuff.

They do, actually. However, there is another reason why the marble has value that gets revealed later.

Well, in most fantasy other-worldly manga, where they have advanced in magic, we have advanced in science instead.  It's clear to see as why would someone improve on something's existence if that specific thing was working well.

I guess the queen is surprised because the marbles should be valued much more than 30 gold

no the queen guessed at about 2 gold, 30 is over 10 times her estimate hence her surprise.

a freakin marble that cost less than 1 pents in earth cost around 30 gold in that altter-world

they have magic but it seems that they suck at glass work.

I wondered if the issue of disease would come up. The greater danger was the possibility that a bug we have resistance could have been loosed in the other world.

well their technology is rather lacking (maybe because of magic) ... lets hope he downloaded some books about crafts on his laptop

So I'm guessing that glass is probably a great alternative to crystals and can hold a powerful magic? If that is true he should teach his wife how to make glass.

Oh those natives and their attraction for glass.

You've never gone somewhere where something common to you is highly valued?

The Indians traded beads for Manhattan man.

They don't know what glass is. And those marbles are valuable for reasons explored in the next chapter

Pfft. What he should do is buy land from the natives with a string of Mardi Gras Beads.

I read the novel ....

You will be in for a suprise.

And they got zero glass craft... at all.

Imagine what Trump's crystal orb/palantir would go for...

To a point. If you saturate the market with an item, then the value decreases considerably.

That said, since it has actual utility then you’ll still make a mint.

Also, from the novel, I had thought Isabelle was an older woman? She looks a bit younger than Aura here when she was mentioned to be around middle aged in the novel I think?

Guess the artist/manga is taking some liberties

not really but since their glass craft is still crude and its quality is low its understandable how a simple marble can sell for a high price and also since marbles have fancy designs.

Hmm, marbles, huh? Maybe she's planning on using them a disposable magic catalysts? The price wouldn't make sense though. Is glass really that powerful a conductor in this setting?
