>MC is the strongest despite being a highschooler

>has to attend a battle academy while hiding his true power

>meets a flat chested tsundere/big breasted girl on his first day who are both the strongest first years

>head of the school is a sexy mature lady

>fights the tsundere shortly afterwards and easily defeats her

>tsundere then gains respect for the MC

This premise seems REALLY familiar. The only thing missing is the MC walking in on the tsundere changing/bathing.

The two negatives I saw on that list being tsundere and flat chest, the rest I have zero issue with (especially sexy mature ladies, why would that ever be a negative?)

No, he's just copying bastard instructor toe-to-toe.

Also a plus, Akashic Records of Bastard Instructor isn't an isekai and the schoolgirls wear thongs to school.

It was done way before Akashic Records as well, and I prefer male Kuuderes like this more.

Thongs are the amazing! None will deny their majesty!

Now they call them Allu, the fin

Could she really not come up with a better name than "Icy Cool Sword"?

It probably should have been Icicle Sword.

I love it, he's breaking most of the dumbass mc conventions.

Man, the MC just has zero fucks to give.

What I find funny is that neither of you brought up, acknowledged, or seems to realize (depending on which person I am referencing...) that mangas aren't made for American or European audiences, but instead Japanese audiences and therefore the mangaka(s) and Japanese publisher(s) don't give a damn what we westerner's think (until/unless a western publisher wants to purchase publication rights...)
Overused plots? Sure. Overused main character points? Sure. But if the Japanese are voting "yes" with their cash more of this will be created.
This does effectively nullify any argument that Bato.to is hosting it for financial gain. The staff here rarely uploads mangas and it is generally accepted as the duty/job of someone in the translating team, otherwise the BS that occurred with Bokugirl happens - someone gets demonized for "stealing" "stolen" copyright goods...

What I don't get is why people go onto mangas that they clearly won't like, either because of the.premise (isekai, for example) and then whine about it... Which I should really be posting and whining about in THAT thread, but I'm here now so... (Shutting up...)

P.s. because I have the memory of a twig, I will probably forget I posted this. Feel free to message me with hate/other if you feel so inclined.

You're confused because we didn't mention that manga is a Japanese product marketed at the Japanese? I won't even pretend to know why the others didn't, but I'd assume because it's too obvious a fact.

I'm perfectly fine with more of these types of manga being created, in fact, I enjoy them and actually want more.

For the same reason televised debates happen when a decision has already been reached behind closed doors, I'd imagine.

Edit: I prefer comments out in the open to PMing anyway, and my memory is just as bad, so no worries.

You seem to be missing the part where I don't have to debate your point and can make my own.

That goes both ways buddy, you're free to comment until we're dead in our graves, but so am i.

Humour is a subjective concept...........are you trolling?

You mean running a website isn't free!? *Gasp*

the first 2 chapter is great. mc's manner is good and understandable from his background. character art is also good (i can tolerate some shoddy background). but...

Spoiler

Could she really not come up with a better name than "Icy Cool Sword"?

Pamphlet packs a punch.

One which needed to be stated, apparently.

I did read the rest of your post, I just found it irrelevant to what people come here for, which is enjoying manga that they like, regardless of how it's perceived by others.

I find sarcasm hilarious, I'm not sorry you don't.

Of course, they make these to turn a profit!! What kind of obvious statement is that?

The reason these are made are to sell copies. Do you think he's going to buy any? Something tells me "No." Therefore, no, he didn't play himself.

That said, even something unoriginal and played out can be interesting if done well in other aspects like character design/development and plot. I don't expect that from this series, but it could happen.

Here, watch, I can do it too. This is a website where people can read Manga for free, see?

It's almost as if people are individuals with different tastes, but that can't be it, right?

yet you still read and commented and bitched about it so there you go the reason these are made

congrats you played yourself

Wow, so the MC is a super strong magician who is considered to be a weak loser by everyone else? And an arrogant-but-kind-hearted redheaded female who comes from a prestigious family and is considered to be the best challenged him to a duel?

What an original plot! Never before has any other author of any genre (much less from battle harems set in a magic highschool) come up with such a creative and innovative idea!

Kudos to the author for breaking out of the mold and not doing the same generic shit all the other lazy authors do.

We need more edg- I mean chapters!

Turning of the ability to think is the greatest IMO. There's a lot of stuff that you can enjoy despite it's flaw thanks to that.

That would explain the candidates who ran in the last election.

Idk why but I'm just irritated by all of the females here... I seriously just can't stand those little girls
