So um... How does a blind person find an unconscious person in a back alley and then drag that person back home by herself?

Trip.

Spoiler

Staff stuff: since you can't seem to agree on the title, please vote on which one you prefer in this thread.

Some giant weaboo is very desperate to keep the japanese title for this one when there is a perfectly good english title. Would be nice if the mods would do something about it...

There must be some title war going on over this one, 'cause I continue to see it pop up under different names in search and think it's something else.

Its like writing a super hero series where the MC just goes "lol ok i have powers now" and then the fact that hes a superhero is pretty much ignored for the rest of the series.

Major Bummer was a hilarious comic book with that exact premise.  It didn't last very long.

That is the inherent flaw to a lot of the isekai stories to varying degrees. And at this point, the isekai fad has been going for a number of years now, so they start digging deeper and deeper for titles to "license". While Alphapolis is the "big name" in licensing, this one appears to be with Earth-Star which is a much smaller publisher. (And frankly, even a lot of Alphapolis titles are complete shit)

The super heavy wish fulfillment is pretty par for the course in isekai, sadly. For every Grimgar, there are 20 series like Isekai w/Smartphone where they can literally do everything better than anyone else.

That said, if it sells even in this state of lack of editing, we can't say much I guess. More to say about the shit taste of Japanese otaku ;)

Calling them shit is subjective, we're definitely not here for Shakespeare or Tolkien that's for sure.

I believe the phrase "Let the market decide" is perfect for genre heavy industries like Manga, anime, video games, and many others, I mean, If so many people enjoy something like power fantasy and wish fulfillment then who are we to selfishly deprive them of that?

As someone who's somehow read 60+ chapters of it, it doesn't really get any better from here on out.  I had the same criticisms while reading it, no sense of conflict because girl (male) is too overpowered and there's no real sense of direction in the plot.

I've gotta say, this is art, it can be meandering if it wants to be. The comments are quite valid and funny. But I didn't find it that bad. On the main character's personality, maybe there wasn't enough acknowledgement of the race and gender change, but it's fantasy. Maybe we're taking this too seriously?

It's not a matter of taking something too seriously or not. It's just not fun to read. It can be taken as frivolously as you like and it's still not fun to read. That doesn't change.

But hey, if you have found something here to enjoy, then it doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks. We're all entitled to our own opinions. Yours is that it's an enjoyable manga and that's fine. I disagree with that assessment and that is also fine.

She should just murder that guy and take his place as ruler of the city, then all those Maid servants would be his to "nap" with Mwahahaha

>produce a shitty web novel

>publisher picks it up

>editor allows author to copy it whole sale instead of fixing the bad writing

The writing is honestly worse than twilight. This is the level where an editor should have stepped in and said "okay, no, you need to fix this, this and this."

It is incredibly wasted potential to have a gender bender series where the MC just goes "lol ok im a girl now" and then proceeds to be a NEET after like five minutes, without caring about his gender.

Dude, you realize that changing the character's personality entirely would change the vast majority of the rest of the story to begin with, so how is that something an editor would even suggest to "fix?"  Might as well start from scratch and rewrite the entire story especially if you also think that the premise had a lot of wasted potential.  Her being someone who is constantly aware of her masculinity as a former man and someone who just doesn't give a shit about it at all is a pretty significant change, considering the fact that she's so unemotional about everything is part of her character and also ties in with the title.

An editor wouldn't look at something and say "everything about this is wrong from the premise up, re-write the entire damn thing and also change the title."  At that point they're not even an editor, they're a co-writer.

I mean I get it, you think it has wasted potential and it could be done better in various ways, but that's not the editor's job, and that's the main point I was making with the meme arrows.  The editor has nothing to do with the mediocre quality of the writing, that's all on the author.

>Quality control = producing exactly the kind of content I want

>Not doing cursory research and noticing that this was originally a web novel that had no such supervision when it comes to storytelling in the first place

Really jogs the noggins.

Saying that is why you need editors does not imply they had an editor.

It's just hyper bad writing and lazy storytelling in general. There is no draw to it other than pictures, which you can find literally anywhere else online, and generally better.

And if it's the gender bender side of it you're coming in for, then even that is handled super poor. He wakes up. He's a she. She's a vampire now. That's just how it is and there's no real moment of actual acknowledgement, despair, or even joy over it. It just is.

She's just an overpowered, lazy vampire. No conflict whatsoever. It's an extremely meandering and tediously pointless manga so far.

The only decent chapter was the one going into detail about the protagonist's backstory, which is a shame because I actually thought it was kind of interesting and if it was at the start it would have made me more interested in the journey, at least until I found out said journey was pretty boring, predictable, and generic.  It would have been possible to write a story around it but instead it's just wasted potential.

>hey guys lets make a manga where the MC gets reincarnated into a vampire loli

>then lets completely ignore everything that people like about vampire lolis and have the MC just be a lazy neet

And this is why you need editors that enforce quality control.

this is boring...

Pretty much.

SPOILER: Edit: I'm tagging this because you didn't even bother to

Spoiler

Is it really necessary to spoil what happens in literally the next chapter without a tag?  Why not just let people read it themselves?

I swear people have no restraint.  I know the feeling of wanting to spoil things but at least tag it for the consideration of others if nothing else.

the fun chapters are about to begin :3

right on queue, mr creepy whos going to try to seduce MC's love interest or in this case MC. hes going to force her to go, fail and run away and then come back with even more men, kidnap the ex blind lady forcing MC to go save her and beat up mr creepy again.

haven't read ahead just my prediction because its generic as fuck storytelling.

SPOILER: you are completely wrong.

That man is a COMIC RELIEF even for a few chapter only,

believe me you dying to be like him.

So um... How does a blind person find an unconscious person in a back alley and then drag that person back home by herself?

The same way they were navigating town by themselves while blind presumably.  Since she's been living for so long while blind I just sort of assumed she's familiar with the town layout and has grown accustomed to relying on her other senses.

And maybe she tripped over her.  The same way I'm tripping over myself trying to explain what the author never bothered to do.

At first I thought "Oh another lame cliche Item box" but then I did remember a certain Vampire who put his whole Wallachian army into his and now I am OK.
