She's becoming a yandere holy shit

Yes, "becoming."

Not really, for her to be a Yan she would have to actually like Jun, and very obsessively, basically bordering on the verge of psychopathy while being extremely possessive of him. If she was a Yandere she would likely even be willing to hurt people like Tomo in order to have him.

She's just being her usual cynically edgy Kuudere self, only now more assertive since their relationship has changed. She's very determined to be the one that wears the pants.

Well, not as an evil overlord. I think the author is trying to convey that Misuzu herself wants to be percieved that way by others, maybe out of her pragmatic way to see the world, maybe out of her own insecurity and inadequacy at general human interacton, or maybe simply out of shyness. We already know she can´t manage well and even gets her mask cracked when other people act with genuine spite towards her (ie: Carol's breakdown and rampage).

Yeah, it's a face she puts on. She wants to seem a certain way (evil ice queen) to other people so she does things she thinks will advance that image. At some point it seems that she started believing it herself and then concocted her weird scheme regarding Tomo and Jun in the present day. Carol is the foil that helps to break that self-image and this arc will hopefully give us some more insight.

She's really just like the edgy kid who tells people that they worship Satan and do crazy spooooky things because they think other people will think they're cool. Normal people end up thinking they're just weird (Jun) but some people enable them (Tanabe, the comment section).

Tomo and Jun can be both like tigers but the little Misuzu is totally a dragon. I can see her spitting fire someday. Or acid.

Oh, black dragon are we?

Each chapter has a dark cold panel. Give me more :3

Am I the only one who gets sick of how hard the author tries to paint Misuzu as this evil overlord, when she's at best just a cringy child with a creepy face?
This is some amazing padding that goes around here.

Jun did a great job running away from Gundou.  She was not ready for a healthy relationship.

u guys take dis story 2 srsly. Ch1ll out n enjoy the m3mes.

I'm not sure what to make of this statement. Why would anyone be taking advantage of Tomo here...? As Misuzu explained much earlier (page-wise), she had no idea Tomo was romantically attracted to Jun at this point. Heck, maybe Tomo really wasn't yet - just like Jun, she made no move to rekindle their friendship during this really weird "avoiding each other" routine in middle school, so maybe she was too busy with other things to even consider romance. So, in this context, how could a relationship between Misuzu and Jun be considered "illicit"? Two childhood (kinda) friends dating would seem like a totally normal occurrence to me.

Rationally speaking, I agree, and I was purposefully exaggerating to make my point clearer. I don't believe either Jun nor Misuzu did anything wrong but I know better than to think every other reader would think the same. Maybe the author didn't want to upset anyone or maybe they wanted to avoid hinting at any possible rivalry between Tomo and Misuzu. I'm just speculating here, we're not done with the flashback yet after all.

I'll say it again, I don't think this is the most (or least) interesting choice, but that doesn't mean I can't understand wanting to make sure the story keeps a relatively light tone for most of your reader base.

Our heroine being a sweet but fairly naive girl, having an illicit romance with her darker and edgier best friend behind her back may seem a bit too much like taking advantage of that innocence for everyone to feel comfortable.

If you call this "overly dramatic"

what even is drama at this point

Subjective, obviously.

Right, because nothing serious or overly dramatic ever happened in Tomo-chan ever, and it" s always been 100% comedy, always

Am I weird for wanting Misuzu to look at me like that?[/size]

Not really. Look at the customers in Blend S regarding Maika.

Easy ways and marriage? How the hell is that any easy?

It's called getting drunk in Vegas

As usual, there's far more drama and conflict in the comment section than in the manga itself.

go to Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu we are having a psychological talk. You must cite sources so be careful.

Rather than jun I want to know what misuzu is currently thinking.

It seems people just want drama. This manga isn't about drama. Its about comedy and outrageous over the top characters. Adding realism is not what we want. If that is what you want this isn't the manga for you.

What we want is more outrageous scenarios for Jun to be a blockhead, Tomo to be well... tomo. MIsuzu to be a conniving *&&^%^& and fluff to be even more outrageously fluffy.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Works in manga just like it works in real life.

Hi, I'm Nobody. Nice to meet you.

Now just to clarify when I said "care" I meant people were fine that they dated, or that it could be implied they had a mutual attraction to each other at one time. Did people really need a "They dated as part of some weird plan to get closer to Tomo and never actually liked each other" reassurance explanation?

It would have been fine with them just going on a few dates and ending up disliking each other, but like another poster said this is just a retcon to "they didn't really date, nothing happened, they always only liked Tomo, *hand waves* ". Unnecessary IMO, but I will concede that people wanted/needed to see this I guess.

Why hell do you need marriage for that? Just grab your sword, and make your own kingdom by force!

Kids these days can only think on the easy ways, I tell you.

Lol that there is what you call true conservative family values

Marrying for love? please

If it doesn't at least secure me an alliance that will ensure my election as the Holy Roman Emperor then it aint worth it

I'm beginning to think Jun's reasoning for not dating Tomo is a bit deeper than "She's like a guy, so she's a guy." Cause even though its a fake relationship with Misuzu, its still a relationship nonetheless, and from the looks of it, Jun's first as well, and since its Misuzu its going to go horribly wrong at some point, probably giving Jun trauma, just like with fluffs petty revenge advances, as he seems to be prone to them. So Jun might have a strong aversion to dating, probably more specifically dating friends, and the Misuzu-like horrors that could come with them.

He broke up with her because she wasn't able to hang out with him in the same way as Tomo and so he didn't have fun. They were together for, like, a weekend, so I don't think there is enough time for any deep trauma.
