I love fantasy series that go in depth explaining the logic of their version of magic, it's such a nice touch that really helps bring the world to life. Really looking forward to reading more of this!

this art reminds me of that other manga with magic too...forgot the name, but it's got that redhead and monster guy

why does this make me so fuwa fuwa

You're thinking of The Ancient Magus' Bride, and I agree. They have similar vibes to the way they go about their world building, too. Another one I'd compare both this series and Ancient Magus to is Somali to Mori no Kami-sama.

Witches are basically magical programmers :-O

This manga is A-mazing. Has an incredible amount of potential, and i don't say that easily. I really, from the bottom of my heart, hope that this premise gets handled nicely.

French localisation announced, yeah !

1st tome for the march 2018.

THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE THING EVER

This story and drawing are top notch,i love it so much!

Kinda reminds me of Dianna Wynne Jones

Edit: It reminds me A LOT of Dianna Wynne Jones

Its like Harry Potter but with cute little girls. I fucking love it!

This reminds me a lot of Earthsea. I like it!

Edit: I was going to delete this post and add it to my post above this one but apparently you can't delete posts, or at least I can't figure out how.

i just read the first chapter and i don't even know what words use to describe the art in this manga... astonishing maybe, it's like an eyesgasm. everything is so detailed, so wonderful to look at and the "middle age" art reference is so well applied.

I love it.

I don't think she was attempting to murder her.  She thought Coco would give up and then have to go home.

Just helping to clear that up cuz Agete best grill. I hope she doesn't go full Sasuke in the future. Her selfishness reminds me of him in the first Naruto chaps.

Children daring each other to do dumb shit is one thing.
Children trying to kill each other is another.
Anyone trying to murder someone for such dumb reason as "You don;t deserve to be here" "I dunn like ya" is seriously messed up. No matter their age.

This manga is Agreat.

Brimhats did nothing wrong. I demand free magic education for everyone.

She/He is Just wanna open "AGE OF MAGIC"
When every muggle can openly use magic

I was wondering what you'd do about the pun. That's pretty good, "Agreat". The original is "Sasugatto" based on "sasuga" and "Agatto" (the Japanese pronunciation of Agete's name). Basically it's "As expected of Agete!"

Alternative strategy: take the dragon house hunting.

I still wish this manga had been about an atelier making witch hats for cute witches.

Oh well, still not complaining.

Also I want a dragon bed of sand.

or maybe not "free" but more like "available"

Having read ahead I can tell you two things (specifically about Agete)

Also this is a series that really wants you to keep reading it, which makes waiting for more Hell. On that note I've got raws for volume 2 if the scanlators want 'em.

Total aside, some of the Romanization in the translation...I wouldn't say it's wrong cause I'm honestly not sure, but there are some weird names in this series nonetheless. The one's I'd make note of as "well that's weird" would be these two:

Agete = アガット = Agatto (this might just be "Agaht" or something, since Japanese can't have words ending in consonants other than n)

Riche = リチェ = Riché (I was pronouncing it like "reesh" until I started reading volume 2)

This series scratches an itch I never knew I had for a pure fantasy magic story, quite like The Books of Magic.
