Ezekiel, the hero who led the king’s army to victory in the “War of Roses.” Threatened by Achenaus, the eldest son of the Valdemaera family, because of her parents’ sins, the maid Rose (Lizan) is forced to make the terrible choice of robbing him of his sight.
