It’s historical fantasy, xuanhuan/xianxia! The manhua has an absolutely gorgeous art style. Complex characters, intriguing plot, lots of detail to pay attention to, almost everything is important! The MC is literally the embodiment of the "I'm a healer, but..." type of person. It has cultivation magic, questionable ethics, the relationship between the two MCs is just 😭🛐🛐🛐🛐 it also has two GL side characters!! (they get plenty of their own screentime, I love them.)

~ Sn: Word of Honor is based on the short novel called Faraway Wanderers by Priest. It’s historical, wuxia, comedy, adventure, fantasy, found-family, mystery, very angsty. Adaptation: CD audio drama, live action, and a two chapter manhua. (Sadly it was dropped, just like SVSSS💔) There’s also a lot to say about this short novel! A tale about the former leader of a special organization served under royalty, now leaving his past life behind and unintentionally getting involved with the martial world. The two main leads in the novel are arguably more complex, less righteous and less white-washed than their drama counterparts. A story of how the endless greed and hypocrisy of the majority of the people in the pugilist world, as the two sets of characters are intrinsically, very different people at heart but basically the motto:”Do you believe in soulmates?”All in all, if one is looking for further detail/exposition of the lives and motivations of the characters in the drama, it will be futile to read the novel :)

This is a funny Xianxia/BL/drama series that focuses on the counterattack of a man reborn at the beginning of a novel fighting against the scumbag transmigrator in the scumbag protagonist position. The original protagonist of the novel is disgusting, and it only gets worse. Fortunately, the transmigrator is far less cunning and unable to be successful in evil schemes compared to the original protagonist. He's definitely someone to hate in the beginning, but things change as the MC learns how to deal with his protagonist halo.

~ Sn: first thing I gotta say. A huge good slowburn. Once I picked this up I couldn't stop myself and just had to go torture my brain cells with MTL but fortunately it's readable so I survived! But honestly in the further chapters the interaction and chemistry between MC and ML is something worth looking forward to! They compliment each other so well. Their level of compatibility really makes one wonder. It takes time to establish their relationship but I believe they'll reach that point eventually. And that process is precisely what makes you more excited. Badass MC & ML. ITS SO GOOD IT DEFINITELY NEEEEEDS TO ADAPT AS A MANHUA.

~ Sn: This five star review of mine is not an exaggeration. I have very high standards for BL novels, and I think that my rating had done the novel's quality justice. The author clearly portrayed the essence of youth and the growth of the characters in the story. Their life changing decisions and how they handle situations. There was no unexpected twist and turns. The problematic side of the educational system had also been tackled as well as the students' complications about studying. Overall, the story has been relaxing and greatly satisfying and has told a student like me that the future contains endless possibilities, have courage go off to even further places!

The development, pacing, ending, everything is excellent and there are plot twists. The writing is often beautiful, vivid, and heartbreaking. So much research and knowledge on multiple topics went into this novel—medicine, psychology, mythology—and the setting is truly fleshed out. The dynamic, history, and development between the MC and ML is so satisfying. I hope it adapts to a manhua soon!

I recommend this danmei if you are more on the fluff, light angst, vague non-con, & political drama side of romance. 🥰

Second chance in life, a long life love the ML has for MC since children to adulthood in both their lives. But of course this story between these two is adorable.. there is the constant misunderstanding as well 😭. The ML misunderstanding that the MC doesn't like him at first. I like that MC finally was able to discovered all the love that ML hid from him in their past lives. I also like that MC always tries to understand ML instead of causing more misunderstanding like their past lives. ML is just full of insecurities(aww)and I can understand why. However, he's not the angry jealous type that will harm MC because of his insecurities. Because of this, I really enjoyed, no ADORED their relationship. You’ll love how goofy the MC is constantly teasing ML and always making the first move too he thennnn starts to realize how much the ML loved and loves him. He would do anything for him even if it means giving up his life. THIS NOVEL IS SO CUTE. ITS AMAZING. This is number 3 on my favorite damnei in my heart and lists of bl 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
